    The study assumes that a time traveler is able to interface with out current computing technology, which could be horribly primitive, to the point unless they are a historian or archaeologist they may not comprehend how to use it.

    That is the problem, that States did not Ban Online Gambling Completely. The Problems is the US Allowed online Gambling on horse races, The Majority of sites most likely in the states.. Since the states does allow one form of online Gambling, banning other forms is seen as a protective tarriff.

    It does make a lot of sense. There is a delay between a torrented show and its original airing, unless it is a leaked show. We have some viewers who talk about a show to their friends, who missed a few episodes, so friend is curious so downloads the first few to see what it is about, they find they really enjoy it, So start watching it regularly, probably on tv, if it is available since that is where they will usually find the newest episode first. Plus also you have missed episodes available, which is very important with a lot of the more serialized shows, because you miss a couple shows and you are lost, so now if people miss em they will often download them to catch up. If a show is popular it's torrents would definitely show a lot more activity.

    These studies do not take into account other economic factors. Correlation studies are such statistical Nonsense, yes people are using p2p to pirate music, and yes music sales are dropping, and yes jobs are being lost in the us economy. This does not prove a relation. One factor is the US economy is taking several big hits. Economic problems often means people are a lot more careful with how they spend their money. That expensive CD doesn't look so good when there are other more important options. Also people are looking at other options for entertainment.

    And now we see the real reason the music industry is losing money. People have only so much disposable income, and I bet CD sales are losing to game sales, and game price just get higher, bet this year will be another loss for the riaa.
