There are many times in my day (subway, bus, gym etc) that I would like to get some TV or movie. A laptop is just not a viable option most of the time.
It's only a matter of time until video media is delivered via the internet to any of a slew of viewing devices. When companies figure this out, video player devices will take off. TV and movies, as we know them now, are almost obsolete. DVD is a dinosaur if you ask me.
