Indeed - skip the first Star Trek movie and go directly to Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan! My favorite Star Trek movie by far, so much so that the Khan bellow is my ringtone on my phone.
As for series - start off with TOS, then I'd do ST:Enterprise, then ST:TNG, then Voyager and DS9.
I preload a vcard app on my phone for all online purchases. That way if someone schemes the number it's a one time use that dries up and blows away after first use.
There are still a number of sites out there that don't make mention of YouTube in their domain name that allow you to keep YouTube vids as MP4, MP3, etc. . So I doubt they'll catch them anytime soon.

We wanted to show those godless communists that the big guy was on our side. So our money got the phrase "In god we trust" (I refuse to capitalize being I don't believe) and "under god" added to our pledge. And how curious - I wrote a blog post with a pro forma estimate of how much they should have burned through using 20 employees as my benchmark. It's been in operation for about a year now, and they did make $60 million on that game, probably half that was profit So Schilling got his $30 million investment back. But then there's the matter that of the $75 million, even at the 150 actual employees, they would only have spent about $40 million. So there is something going on here and Schilling should be on the fucking hook for this.
Mark my words, 38 Studios will fold. And Schilling will come out smelling like a rose. Meanwhile the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations will get left holding the bag, and we the tax payers will be each saddled with $100+ of tax increase to cover this ludicrously bad investment.
One of the things that disturbs me most is the clawback of unlimited plans for service. I'm not certain if they have but net services should be moved to common carrier status at this point in the game and HEAVY regulation should be applied. The federal FCC should set regulations that they cannot cap service, cannot QOS traffic to sites like speakeasy, etc.
I was thinking maybe you could run it through a proxy but the latency involved there would negate any benefit.
What we all need to do is lean on the FCC - call, write, email, be a constant irritant until they move to do the right thing.
Well, the secret about DSL is that everyone is plugged into the same DSLAM and that has limited bandwidth. Plus they could be enacting QOS on the ports too, for example maybe prioritizing traffic from commercial users.
I'm sorry - government should not be able to shut down public communication networks. The fact that this also shut down part of Public Safety concerns me greatly.
What happens when the guy is having a heart attack on the train during such and event? Seconds count. Lets say the guy dies because of government ineptitude. Well then, sue the government.
The FBI does have to justify its existence doesn't it? Which is why they nurture terrorism. And if people think this only started happening after 9/11/2001 they really need to look further back in time. The FBI has always run such shenanigans.
At the place in which I was previously employed we were somewhat security conscious, to the point of DLP strategies etc. And most of us not only had our Windows boxes which were locked down, couldn't burn CD's, or mount USB sticks, etc., but we also had our choice of Linux distros on separate boxes.
So DLP - you simply SCP'd files to your linux box and then mounted a USB key or burned a disc from there.
It was also used to get around the web proxy. You'd just install Corkscrew on your Linux box and have it proxy your connections THROUGH their proxy to your remote server and then route all your web traffic through there. Completely bypass the proxy because the internal proxy couldn't inspect encrypted traffic.
In my experience I've found the ground speed to be right on the mark. Granted there is the 20 meter resolution issue but there should be an upgrade to GPS in the next few years that solves the issues.

Either let the computers fly it and the humans are simply there as adjuncts and baby sitters, or let the humans fly it and the computer just corrects for fuck-ups. But in this case it was bunk information that confused even the computer. Blacking out screens is sort of a half-assed way to go about telling the world you're confused.

This irked Adam so he decided to take her. When he did she allegedly uttered the secret name of God and was taken up. Since this happened before the Fall, she isn't affected by death and lives forever. Interesting.
That they've been sending a fair number of landers to Mars over the past decade? There was little Sojourner, then Spirit, Opportunity and now Curiosity is one it's way there. And the tech changes between rovers. While the first three were solar, the latter is nuclear using an RTG meaning she doesn't need sunlight to do science. And Curiosity also has some AI features too which means she'll roam father over Mars surface.

I know I have a 250GB cap on my Cox account. Cox doesn't necessarily degrade connections after that but the penalties right now are nebulous.
