Sure, take all the nice Linux applications over to Windows...don't worry about porting the nice Windows apps over to Linux though. Nope, we're fine...We'll just run them at half speed with WINE or something...
I think it does that with any VNC agent. It flagged RealVNC for me too. And same thing with the dummy dll files. I also noticed too though that while Spybot merges threats from the same thing together, Microsoft's tool splits them up so it seems like there are more things detected for some reason.
I don't understand why this seems to be either (probably just because if one is nice and in a good mood, one is more likely not to let small things bother them a great deal and therefore you might ignore things that would nag you in a worse mood anyways) but I kind of believe this too. It's probably something for therapy, but sometimes when I need something done quickly, I try to talk to my computer and urge it to go faster and I think sometimes it actually does...although I could be imagining things...I'll be taking a philosophy class on this this semester, so we'll see what I can dig up about it.
Other people have tried to explain this away, so I might as well and go for it too...
McDonald's and Burger King for burgers.
Hardee's (Carl Jr's), Wendy's, Whataburger, Jack-In-The-Box, Krystal (White Castle, depends on location, really)
Coke and Pepsi for cola.
Dr. Pepper, RC Cola, Shasta/Faygo, Cheerwine, Big Red...There's many more... and all seperate companies...
Nike and Reebok for sneakers.
I've never even owned a pair of Reeboks as far as I can remember. I believe someone already posted about this but anyways...
Converse, New Balance, Puma, Adidas, Dada, ASICS...
Microsoft and.... well, Microsoft for operating systems.
Ok, this is true just because of your "ruthless domination" modifier. But there are many, many other choices.
Dell and HP/Compaq for x86 computers.
Gateway, Micron, eMachines...
ATI and nVidia for graphics cards.
3DLabs, Matrox...SGI
And... Intel and AMD for x86 CPUs...
Ok, Intel and AMD dwarf the others, but there's always still VIA, especially if you're looking for things like in-car computers and whatnot.
I'm confused. The title suggests they've solved the mystery, but didn't they just find a huge clue? I mean, I can't come upon a murder, find a footprint, and say I finished. There's much more to it than that. Yes, this is a huge step, but no, everything isn't "solved." In fact, they could be completely wrong...
Probably because while USB has a higher theoretical speed than firewire, the constant sustained transfer rate of firewire is usually much higher than that of USB. (ever wonder why most cameras go with it?)
http://www.usb-ware.com/firewire-vs-usb.htm --more info if you want.
Locks, Safes and Security: An International Police Reference Two Volumes is apparently a wonderful book all about the history of lock-picking and its evolution, including ways in which things were overcome. Although the book is a bit pricey.
I'm sure if there are plans for the creation of illicit weapons on the internet, there are ways to find this information also. It's usually just a matter of wanting it bad enough and looking long enough (or simply knowing where to look)
Where? Six feet under I do believe. He's dead.

They'll probably add more to the community of slashdot than most of the Anonymous Cowards who post drunk at 2am...
Well...I was taught it by my Physics teacher, so I guess you'll need to take that one...

2+2=4 is a fact Actually, 2+2=5...it all depends on how large of a value of 2 you are talking about.
Well...if the Crab Nebula wasn't such a shy guy, I am sure he would help out a bit...maybe we could talk to his mom or something...

My dad :-(
I can read /. Does that count?

That's not fair, I live upstairs. I take offense for all of us readers who can't even make it to the stairs.
From "Ted the Tool" I don't know if he is trying to sound more like a lockpick or a porn star.
You mean that's NOT considered fun and games?
This means, sadly, we nerds get screwed.
And not the good kind of screwed, neither.
Or cause the system to advertise a great viagra alternative.
Yeah, it probably would have kept those thousands of planes from falling from the skies and our toasters from rebelling.
It's attack of the 50ft robot!
