Exactly my problem!
I have a very long living room, whith one side being made up my panorama windows.
After trying a huge number of configurations, I ended up with a solution based on a projector that projects a 90" image - but I'm viewing it from my couch at a distance of 7 meters.
I don't believe for a second that a HD projector would give me a significant improvement in image quality.
