This is why libertarianism, or classical liberalism, is such a depressing philosophy. The more one understands about what is going on, the more depressing the situation is IMO.
More and more I get the desire to turn off the news and ignore fark and/. Everyday it's something new (increasing the scope of eminent domain, the fact that what someone does in their backyard falls under the interstate commerce clause, etc).
I've tried writing my congressman, voting for people who understand the constitution,etc, but it seems I'm outnumbered, and no-one is listening.
I'd move to Ron Paul's (R-Tx) district, because at least he knows what he is talking about, but my medical practice (naturopathy) is not yet liscensed in Tx. Oh well.
To European customers they should sell a stripped down version for the same price that includes almost nothing. Not even notepad, IE, screensavers, windows update access, or minesweeper.
Then they could sell an add-on CD for $29 that includes all the typically imbedded programs.
I'm building a new PC and finally decided to dedicate a partition to and install linux; I have no prior experience with linux.
Which is a good linux for a newb?
Debian? Mandrake? Redhat? Something else?
The only reason I even have cable is because COX bundles it free with my internet cable subscription.
I can't even remember the last time I watched TV. I mainly use it for DVDs and games.
If cable TV ever dies I won't shed a single tear. Let me know when they get rid of the commercials.
