wonderful, another reason not to upgrade (as if i was going to).
all windows vista is, is a black version of windows xp, with better search options. i can do the visual changes with something like aston or stylexp.
the only thing i use my xp machine for right now is video games. all my music and movies are kept on my mac file server, so i can do advanced searches (if i cared to) with spotlight.
but OMG, i forgot there are new icons for the folders and the explorer is different looking.
just what i need to do, waste $200 buying a prettier version of xp pro.
i hope vista is the downfall to MS.
just the ones that 90% of people that use windows, use.
dont worry your computers running DOS, Windows 3.1, 95, 98 and the wonderful ME, cannot be infected.
I highly doubt that they're going to give out plans on building your own nuke...you can find that stuff on the internet, anyways.
And congrats on being another one of the million Americans that think 9/11 should restrict everything we do.

I'm glad I decided to download the movie before going into the movie theater to see it, ROTS sucked. I read the book before hand and it was great, I loved it, and was looking forward to seeing the movie. The movie was rushed, didnt contain anywhere near enough to explain it all correctly and the fight scenes were short and boring.
I don't see how me downloading one movie or "stealing" it, is any different than them charging me $15 to go see a movie, $20 to buy a DVD or $6 to rent it. For the pennies that they pay to produce something on DVD or the amount that they make the movie theaters pay back to them just to show their movie, if anyone is the theif it is them.
Therefor, it doesnt lay heavy on my concious when I steal a movie or a cd. And until they lower the prices on such items and quit trying to over stuff their pockets, because theyre a bunch of greedy fuckbags, then I will continue to pirate anything and everything I feel like.
I would have to disagree like everyone else about mac backing away from FireWire. The reason they are more than likely just going to be shipping USB with the iPod, is because most of the people that are purchasing the iPod have PC's. As most of you PC users know, generally PC's dont come with FireWire. And all Mac users know that every Mac you buy comes with FireWire. So they just decided to not waste the money for the FireWire cable, when most people aren't even using it, because in order to use it on their PC, they would need to install a FireWire PCI card. Why waste the money when you already have USB? And why would Mac waste the money producing the FireWire cables, when they're not even being used? It saves them money (maybe only a few cents, but that few cents adds up). But as for removing FireWire ports from Macs, I don't ever see that happening.
creating the mac minis was a great idea, and if you think $500 for a mac is a rip off, then you're too poor to afford a mac in general.
i have a powerbook 4 with a 1.5, 512MB RAM and a 80gig hd. that cost me around $2500. this mac mini is the equivalent of the powermac i have. an airport upgrade is only $50 and you can get the 1GB stick of DDR333 for $150, if you really wanted it maxed. the 1.5 powerpc processor is fast enough to handle and program for mac, unless youre doing high end video editing, and if youre doing that, buy a powermac.
the main reason i think they came out with this, is for the same reason i want one...airport extreme with airtunes. this thing makes for one perfect in home MP3 player if you get the airport upgrade. moster cables from airport extreme right to your receiver.
just an avid mac fans opinion.
