    Publishing is the first step in peer review, not the final end all.

    Now I could be wrong (seriously, I really don't know all that much about this), but I thought that "respectable" journals had peers to whom they send articles for review prior to publishing? So after publishing, certainly more peers get a chance to look over the results and the process continues.
    But assuming that I'm correct, wouldn't that make submitting or maybe the assignment of the reviewers the first step?

    As far as initial configuration of the OS upon install- I think that if you ask ANYONE who has tried it- they will tell you windows 7's install was easier and more complete than any operating system they've tried to date.

    That's really stupid.

    It didn't install a full blown database server, development tools, and what would be many thousands of dollars worth of other software, so no, a windows installation will never be even in the same league in terms of completeness.

    What a truly laughable statement.

    Actually it is a perfectly valid assessment of the church's position.

    Most of their wacky policies are to help force there to be more poor suffering people who they can leech off of. It's basic survival instinct and quite obviously what they've done for centuries. Were they in any way tied to any sort of god, they wouldn't have to keep changing their policies.

    What is it about the OPs evaluation that you find unfair? It's hard to imagine anything more obvious than that the church, like any organization, will work in order to increase it's own power. It's a law of nature, so hardly seems to be a point of contention.
