I 've been watching the show since Kilborn hosted..so yea, I know it's labeled a "comedy show". I think it's more of a political commentary masquerading as a comedy show...
PS- I don't consider it an argument or a problem..merely an opinion...and BTW,did "The Man Show" ever have political guests, authors, or anyone else offering political opinion??
Jon Stewart is a hypocrite....he blasts "partisan politics" and is he biggest poliical partison on the air....He AND his producer AND his entire show were nothing but political shills for the Kerry campaign...95% of his political guests are operatives for the party..How about a little balance there Johnny!
Its an interesting discussion , only its jumping all over the place and touching a whole bunch of interesting points...I've only written (.model small) programs in Assembly(don't think I'd want to write many larger programs in Assembly and my recollection is that given the nature of Assembly(written properly) it will just about always be faster than any compiled code....so why not use it in small doses where applicable........
yea..I agree it is a crock and a marketing ploy at that. I avoided the "Its time to upgrade now or die " for many years until i finally gave in about 18 months ago.
I think I agree w/ alot of what ur saying and followed the same line of thinking for many years....the problem comes when new apps come out w/ new features and capabilities that won't run on any version of 98 and certainly not 95. That having been said.. If u don't need it...then why bother "upgrading"..I totally agree w/ that argument.
