"While browsing around the Fox News website, I found that directory indexes are turned on"...I browse Fox website everyday but I cannot find it out. Was he really reading the news or hacking the site ?
Yesterday I downloaded it, installed it, used it to browse a couple of most common web sites (CNN, Yahoo, Google, Slashdot!, etc).
Well, it's as bad as iTune and Quicktime for Windows. Slow, ugly, and the most important thing for a browser, page rendering. I know it's a beta, but it's from Apple, not from some kids lived in the basement.
Used it for 2-3 minute, got enough of it, I uninstalled it (uninstall was pretty quick!).
These are the apps I must install everytime when I reinstall Windows...
---shareware / commercial ----- Forte Agent -- The best news reader in the world SnagIT -- The best screen capture software WinZip, WinRAR -- Archive handling Eudora -- Yes, I'm still using it for E-Mail UltraEdit -- Text Editor for all kinds Microsoft Street & Trip -- looking for location even off-line Microsoft Office including Visio -- can't find exact replacement SQL Navigator -- if you work with Oracle database, you know what is it NetOp Remote Control -- the FASTEST remote control software I can find Eclipse IDE -- can't be wrong if you write Java for fun or for living
---Free stuff----- Putty -- simplest SSH client BitComet -- the best BT client FileZilla -- the cheapest FTP/SFTP client Daemon Tools -- I haven't burn CD/DVD for long time FireFox -- IE sucks MS PowerToys -- Windows Tweaking Winamp -- lightweight mp3 player MSN Messenger -- All my friends use it, so I have no exception FoxIT PDF Reader -- Arcobat Reader is too heavy
I tried to search for Palestine in Google Map. I got the word "Occupied Palestinian Territory" and the map itself doesn't show me anything. Well actually it shows the world map but no indication for Gaza Strip or West Bank.
Then I tried "Israel". It's fine.
At least I can find Taiwan in Google Map. So it's fine for me.
The new Mac OSX will use Intel P4 CPU and drop the Open Firmware; the Sun right now has workstations and servers using AMD Opteron and running Solaris 10 X64. Sun sells hardware and software as 1 package, and Apple will do exactly the same time.
Does anyone try to install XP on Sun AMD machine? I don't know but I don't think anyone will do it because Solaris is way more better than Windows. Same for Mac.
The most effective way to deal with Oracle support staff is talking with their native language.
Just wondering...does Symantec has any antivirus software for Mac ?
