There's a mutant baby in China that does this already... Probably actually a toddler by now.

  2. Dune on Bring Home the Biotech Bacon · · Score: 1

Does no-one remember sligs? The Tleilaxu bioengineered combination of slugs and pigs that feed on garbage and produce the sweetest meat known to man. Calling someone a slig is a grave insult, yet sligmeat is valued above all other meat...

  3. Suckers? on iTunes, One Billion Suckers Served? · · Score: 1

There will always be a more efficient (by efficient i mean storage-wise) format. LP's were very efficient when they first surfaced. Now mp3's are becoming relatively inefficient as new formats are created. There are no suckers here, just music appreciators.

  4. Cocaccino? on Coca-Cola's Coffee Soda · · Score: 1, Interesting

How many of you have ever tried Cocaccinos? As far as I know, one of my older brothers came up with it independently, but there must be others out there. You mix about half a glass of coke with a small amount (half a teaspoon or less) of instant coffee. It froths up like hell, and then tastes like coffee - mixed with coke! Or vice versa, depending on how much coffee you put in. First-time makers tend to put in too much coffee.

  7. Re:Evolved? on New Rodent Species Found · · Score: 1

You might want to actually find out what 'Religion', as you call it, actually says rather than just assuming it has no argument. Evolution theory changes every day, and none of the scientists agree on all the points, although a lot of them agree that evolution is actually pretty unbelievable. Admittedly, creationist ideas have become somewhat muddied by people trying to rationalise them in an evolutionist way. It doesn't work.

  8. Silver Screen, Prey... on Robotic Nanotech Swarms on Mars... in 2034 · · Score: 1

...Are books by Justina Robson and Michael Crichton, respectively. In Silver Screen, a mass of nanobots take the form of a woman and download the AI from a computer 'helper'. In Prey, a swarm (yes, swarm) of self-reproducing nanobots programmed to kill humans escapes a lab and goes on a rampage... Problems with over-intelligent, independent and self-reproducing nano-bots are practically guaranteed.

  9. Re:Dollar rising on HP to Region-code Cartridges · · Score: 1

Isn't war profiteering illegal? I remember reading about trials for British war profiteers after WWII. Although, if it is illegal in the US nowadays, who is going to arrest George Dubya?

  10. Has no-one mentioned... on Do You Want to Live Forever? · · Score: 1

...Larry Niven's Ringworld take on immortality? The whole reproduction rights lottery seems pretty relevant to me...
