You are a moron. Not only that, but you use the obfuscating language of the copyright industry in a lame attempt to seize the moral high ground when there is nothing there but the law and your simplistic assumption that breaking the law is immoral.

Just because you like to call copyright infringement "piracy" or "theft" doesn't make it that. Anyone with the mental capacity of a five year old understands that calling a lampshade a hat is wrong at best and sinister at worst.

This idea that somehow that you have to pay a "content troll" every time a copy of something is made somewhere simply flies in the face of common sense. The fact of the matter is that we are born with an innate desire to share and that is what the copyright industry is up against. That and the fact that technology has erased any barriers to that sharing. I suppose you'll be screaming about people stealing when technology has erased the physical copying barrier as well?

And BTW, it's also a fine example of capitalism at its finest: The copyright industry's prices are too high and so a black market has arisen to correct that. You right wingers, who like to scream about capitalism as if it were holy writ, like to have government intervention when your holy capitalism gets to that point.

Finally, personally, I find your morals to be repugnant. It's people like you that make other people take a dim view of humanity.

Look at the constant debates we've had here on /. about who is to blame when you get infected with trojans / malware / spyware etc. Some say Windows should be more secure.
I'll come out as one of those who say their products should be more secure. Let me illustrate: Once I was a faithful user of Outlook Express until the day that I highlighted (not even opened--and the preview pane was off) an email message and my machine was hijacked by a virus.

Now, to those who say it's all the end user's fault that they get infected, I'd like to know how the hell it was my fault that my machine was hijacked by a virus while using Microsoft software when all I did was highlight a frickin' message in Outlook Express? The people who say it's all the end user's fault clearly haven't thought their position through.

Yes, I know, I hate to admit this, but I actually saw him today on my brand spankin' new HP with Windows XP Professional and Office 2002. In the middle of working on an Excel spreadsheet and doing a cut and paste, guess who popped up with that stupid, annoying and unhelpful word balloon? Yup, it was good ol' Clippy.

So yes, he's still there and still on by default.

But if it happened to me, and it was because of the kind of "evidence" described here, I wouldn't feel wronged in any way.

Ok, ok, I have to admit that that was a lame attempt at whoring some karma. Sorry!

I also feel that I must confess that I have multiple personality disorder and use two other accounts to troll from. I'm a frustrated musician and a wannabee programmer who works phones for a help desk. I really hate anything open source since it means that I'll be out of a job (miserable as it is). I have no life, and even the people that used to like me think I'm a dick. I haven't been laid in seven years and as such I take out my sexual frustrations by obsessing over anyone who says anything negative about Microsoft, Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, Fox News or the Republican Party. Even if it's true! I can't help myself! People keep telling me that I should get some professional help, but I just never seem to get around to it.

Thanks for listening. This has really been weighing heavily on me for the past year or so and I feel much better now having cleared the air. But if you want more confessions, look here to satify your curiosity.
