Don't forget that the Bill of Rights only applied to the Federal Government when established. It was perfectly acceptable for a State to limit voters to a denomination when they first joined the union.

Quote Paine all you want, but do not confuse him with the founding fathers. He left the continent in 1783 and wrote the Age of Reason from a French prison (he had been put there because he was against the beheading of Louis XVI). He was a rebel, sometimes the hero, sometimes the villain, to the same group of people.

The most glaring ommission from this discussion is that the rising price of gas is going to do more for the alternative fuel market than anyting they did on their own. Toyota lost money on every prius they sold in the first year. With gas prices nationally hovering around $2.50/gal, middle america is going to start to consider these cars versus conventional ones.

You have a point. I cannot find a reference for the wave length issue I originally pointed out. It was a mistake to reference it.

Instead of referencing a foxnews report, I should have talked about this directly:

Not that we will ever agree, or that either of us will care if we did, the right thing to do is to admit the mistake. I do hope you read, or at least skim, the judges opinion.

Not a study, but some very interesting information. Notice how the wee little scientist changed his tune before swearing an oath.

I admit that I am not a scientist nor perfect, I try to be skeptical. I just won't buy every chicken little story I hear.

I actually clicked on the two links from the last post. I could live forever like....ok maybe not.

What Milloy did on this subject is site several other studies that suggest no link between cell phones and cancer and he explained why in layman's terms.

I have an alternative, let's get rid of all of the federal decency regulations.

The other problem is, at some point, the whole thing will be as long as a 1040 form and just as complicated (number of wheels, curb weight, some type of peak time penalty, etc.).

It they are successful (at collecting taxes, not fixing roads), this bad idea will spread.
