So what about an orbital microwave complex (like it was proposed above) to accelerate the craft and another one in martian orbit to slow it down?
Such stations could be computer controlled, making the craft a kind of train in an interplanetary subway. This scenario would allow less expensive interplanetary travel.
I can't imagine a higher prioritie for India that to INVEST in the future of her own citizens.
Eany space program will help India develop her economy, science and technology.
So yes, its time for the Indian goverment to do something about the well-being of the Indian people, and starting a program that ensures a future input in both economic and human capital is the best anwser possible.
Sacrifices will be made, but the end result will be a better India for the next generation.
By the way, how about a little help getting the shuttle back in space?
This is just another example of corporate and institutional short-sight. For it is mandatory to defend free-speech (even of does who say things we dont like) it is also mandatory to make sure that does who can affect the world and society more deeply (namly, corporations, goverments, etc...) act on the best interest of the people.
One way to asure this, and to create a regulating mechanism is to have and educated society, not just in the sence of having a bunch of people who know a lot of things, but having a lot of people who can think in an analitical way, questioning all they see, read and hear.
But then again, such nation would be tyrani-proof, what goverment would whant it?
