According to this Edison, his Electronized Sunlight will be generatable from any heat source, including newly cheap and plentiful petroleum oils, with no concern for whether at the current hour our friend Mr. Sun currently favors the company of good Americans or Chinamen instead.
I imagine a day soon where it will even be possible to turn telegraph messages themselves into electric sun, so the shop foreman can stay at his machines, or the tired father in his study chair, "reading" his telegraphs simply by observing the brightening and dimming from his electric sunpipe roomlight!
