One time, I had ice cream that was TOO cold! I mean really, the ice cream company was basically negligent for not taking into account the ambient temperature of the room I was sitting in.

Hmm... Why wouldn't they just store a 16 char hash of whatever password you want?

Usually you only see this when someone is doing something wrong from a security standpoint.

  5. Air taggs along. on Adobe Launches Sandboxed Reader X · · Score: 1

Great! Now, where can I get the non Air installing version? All I want is Reader, not extra stuff that is vulnerable as well.

  9. Re:There are all varieties of reason to hate them on Metallica to Star in Next Major Guitar Hero? · · Score: 1

Yeah. Some of my friends started hating them when Justice came out. Some started hating when the Black Album came out. Some for the Napster deal.

I think I have one friend that has stayed with them through it all... and I'm not sure why.

  10. Re:Article Incorrect on Microsoft Forces Desktop Search On Windows Update · · Score: 1

I'd have to agree. I saw the update in WSUS and simply declined it. I would have to think that people insisting this was deployed automatically by WSUS might want to double check their auto approve rules. This is reason #1000 to manually approve all patches.

  17. Hell in a handbasket on Sony Doing An End Run Around Its Own DRM · · Score: 1

I cant help but laugh at the fact that they have a FAQ on how to play the disks in the first place, and troubleshooting said process. And I'm not even talking about getting the music into iTunes! wow.

A human just has to check the task manager and run msconfig to spot 90% of the malware out there.

Can't say as I agree with you on this one. Discerning what should and should not appear in these lists can be more trouble than its worth. Not only that, the majority of the time the poor old human doesn't have the time.
