    As long as the quote she made up is reasonably close to something the person probably would have said, then what is the difference?

    Iraq does not have weapons of mass destruction.
    Iraq does have weapons of mass destruction.

    They're nearly the same sentence. There's only one word of difference.

    The original post had merit and you missed it. Look at it this way:

    If a reporter knows she can go out on the street, talk to people for a half hour and come back with a quote of "I don't believe Iraq has weapons of mass destruction." what then, is the difference if she just writes down "I don't believe Iraq...."?

    In my example the reporter would;
    A. Know enough about the subject to have no doubt some person would say the quote.
    B. Already have a "slant" for the story.

    Although I don't believe in, or watch, this type of news, what is the difference?

    For instance watch Jennifer Garner's message board for posts about her man-ish looks. I've seen some respectfull and interesting posts get deleted, yet if the post is chidlish and Garners fans "beat up" on the OP the post is left....

    IMDB won't respond to my emails asking how and when they justify removing posts that don't violate their terms.

    Water cooling is the WORST for of cooling if have encountered.

    When a water filled radiator is used on a cpu instead of a fan the heat that leaves does not get dealt with. Small components overheating aren't any better than the cpu. Sure, you can put in a powerfull (loud) set of case fans to deal with the extra heat, but what's the water system there for then?

    I worked in a small "geeks for hire" computer support team. ALL THREE of the water cooled systems I worked inside of had HEAT problems. And one was leaking!

    The problem with computers heating up is caused by tower cases. If you lay the components out on a sheet of plywood and use regular fans you get superb cooling. Submerged in mineral oil works great too. Don't be an idiot though, you need depth, a few millimeters over the cpu won't cut it (this guy is going to use a pump and copper radiator for what would have cost $2 in mineral oil!).

    you can feel the weight difference I have 5 different brands of cd-r here; pioneer, memorex, intenso, some noname brand, and one kodak and they all weight the same (within 0.1 grams on my postal scale) VHS tape is magnetic media (like audio tape)... generally speaking the heavier it is the better the quality there will be no detectable weight difference in higher quality vhs tapes. as has been posted the difference is in the recording speed. cheap tapes will have less actual tape i have heard some claims that the black ones are good though light does degrade cd-r dye, it's the heat that is really the problem - so as degradation goes, clear is better
