At least I now know why my site has been receiving more hits than usual!
I'm the lead (read: only) developer of Archon Evolution and I'd like to make it clear that A:E *is* going multi-platform. I'm currently porting the rendering layer to OpenGL (collisions are giving me problems at the moment) and, once finished, Windows users will be able to play against MAX and Linux users. The DirectX version is being scrapped, although the first public beta will probably be a DirectX build (as it's reached a stable state).
Thanks for your interest.
I can assure you it *is* happening.
