Your computer came with windows and just happened to be a little more expensive than it would have otherwise been, but you didn't get the option of hacking that off the sticker price.
Because China's President, Hu Jintao, while advancing the goals of China's communist party, has implemented free market ideas and theories into China's economic structure, guaranteeing that it will eventually destroy the Communist party in it and free China.
He, despite being communist and despite having to appear communist all over his country, has actually done a lot of good, more than could be expected of a dictator.
You can't win by attacking someone for doing the right thing. The U.S. is doing everything it can to reinforce China as it begins to adopt these free market practices that will ultimately save the world.
He's still an evil rat-bastard but he's the first step to China's freedom, so don't jump on the "Hate China" bandwagon just yet.
To be serious it's not a matter of which weapon is more lethal. It's a matter of which weapon is BELIEVED to be more lethal. Cops believe wrongfully that tasers are safe and are willing to use them in the wrong situations.
If your life is in danger, USE A GUN. There is still a chance that shooting them won't kill them, but there is nothing more horrible than a good person using a taser in the wrong situation and killing someone who was not a threat and becoming a monster.
Cops aren't supposed to use weapons where nonlethal force is advised. If nonlethal force is advised, that means negotiate. It does not mean shoot.
My favorite commentary was by the lady who does the voice of GLaDOS, when she says that everybody makes it look like everything is planned, and that everything is structured, and it's all "a big fat lie." She goes on to tell more, but it seemed appropriate to mention.
Your point still stands, though, because "disorganized" is sorta the norm all across the computing world.
"Get charged with a crime you didn't commit and then tell me how you feel about defense attorneys."
Considering that the very first thing they do is try to set up a plea bargain, you're not going to generate much sympathy here.
You forget that you're not in the portion of the population hit the hardest by the disparity of wealth. It's not fair for most people, lawyers can only help the upper middle class on up. Other scenarios are so rare they might as well be nonexistent.
I'd like to install Fedora 8 on my laptop since I like the software installer more, and a few other things, but those are moot points when Fedora won't or can't get my wireless to work.
Flashblock is one of the most annoying plugins ever. I don't mind when it spares me the problems on a news site, but on sites like ytmnd, where I have to click the flashblock 3 times per site in sequence just to see something, it gets real annoying real fast.
I just wish they could change it to where it would allow whitelisting of certain domains like noscript does.
That happens for me while typing on my laptop. It's the single most annoying thing ever created for a computer.
I usually end up accidentally moving hte mouse cursor and overwriting about 6 pages of text and never notice until it's too late.
I suggested that someone implement this into Fedora 8, (laptop friendly features were among its most prominent new additions) but had to jump through lots of hoops just to email someone, and I'm still not sure anyone ever got the memo.
If anyone can forward that on, or send me a link to a script or program that disables the mouse while typing, I'd be really thankful.

I wasn't aware that a claymore mine was considered nonlethal. I'll have to read up on that.

You don't really get to ask questions to body parts, so claymore mines aren't a form of torture.
You might as well have stated "Nukes/boms/missiles aren't considered torture."
At which point your fallacy would have been more obvious.
The gun.

It did not appear to have the lands necessary to generate that much mana.
Whoever manually adds the tags to these sites misspelled one.
I'm sure that should say "whatisopera" not "whatiopera"
Just a heads up.
"I think this should end the ethical problems with stem cells nicely."
Said the scientist as he threw the Bag O' Embryoes into the trash can.
But nukes solve everything.

Who cares? we win! now let's round em up and sue the crap out of them, guilty or not!
(joke)
I must have had a different version on my laptop. thanks for the info.
"What surprises me is that so many people seem to be taking his word for it."
DUDE.
He can hear you.
If that's true...
Thanks.
However, Ubuntu works.

Prettier than what?
Are we talking about the difference between the windows tower and the original macs?
I don't think it's even that significant.
Vista is the Internet's version of Iraq. The only difference being that there IS an exit strategy and the world is using it.

The first step is admission.
Perhaps you should sign up.
Not if you work for facebook. :P

Does anyone have any information on the Judge's email address so we can show our support for the person who finally stood up to those bastards?
This could be going places.

"I am not going to go to the obligatory "robotic overlords" reference"
...shit.
Good! I'm sick of that meme.
I, for one, welcome our new non-obligatory overlord referencing overlords.
Well, I wouldn't get "busted," mainly because I know of one barrier that the police can't easily bypass.
An attorney.
Not to mention I don't have illegal contraband on my hard drives they'd be searching for. Although that's not much of a deterrent.
