so just because a domain has a substring that is a "dirty word" it will get rejected.... that's cute...

"it's a sad thing that in today's society this statement must be considered offencive just because it contains the word 'fuck'" --fortune

i wonder if they noticed that on the day of the events in colorado, some domain brokers registered trenchcoatmafia.com and trenchcoatmafia.org...

that's what they said.... that's why i didn't say anything.... right now, i'm hoping that all of you people who flooded the server caused enough of a flood that they will just ignore them.... (more chance for me ;) )

in case you care, here's the message that was sent to people who asked them about beta testing really early...
This message is going out to everyone who sent us mail asking about beta testing the Linux version of Civilization: Call to Power. We're going to keep your information and contact you once we've announced the beta test signup sometime in February. Civ should go beta in late February or early March. There will probably be 25 beta testers, and we'll need both Intel and PPC users in that group.

I knew that this was going up as of friday... (anybody who expressed interest in beta testing got an e-mail early about it) i was just hoping /. wouldn't post it since the original e-mail that loki sent when i asked about beta testing suggested that they would only be picking 20-25 beta testers spread between x86 and ppc.
