Yeah, I definitely don't plan to go blind until I can get high-def, Bluetooth-enabled eyeballs with wireless connectivity to my PSP.

But couldn't this as easily be an argument for more government intervention, if the idea is to keep the price of this thing minimal, since governments are not for-profit organizations (current U.S. administration excluded, of course)? I don't understand the argument that the poor are best served by institutions whose basic objective is to make money off of those who use their products.

Speaking of attempted smart-assery... "Well, look him up. In case you didn't know, there's this site called www.google.com that you can search for names and web sites etc etc. You should check it out, it's pretty cool web site and I have a feeling it may be big one day..." Next time just post the damn info instead of assuming that everyone should automatically share your interests.

Most mac users are probably people who bought their iMac because they liked how it came in different colors, like my friend. And most home PC users bought their computers because they liked the bargain basement prices. I don't know what kind of Windows platform utopia some of the posters in this thread are living in, but have you ever listened to some of the people buying PCs at CompUSA or Best Buy? I don't think fans of either platform can necessarily crow about the superior computer savvy of their users.
