  1. Teaching ID in the classroom on Vatican Rejects Intelligent Design? · · Score: 0

I dont understand what all the fuss is all about. All the ID people want is to have education not be focused on a single theory. Before any school teaches Darwinisim they want someone to read a statement about ID. I am all for it.... On one condition. Anytime a Sunday school class, Sermon, or other religeous gathering is about to talk about Creationisim or ID, I want a Biology teacher to read a statement about Darwinisim. After all, its only fair :) Of course note, the only reason I am willing to suggest this is because I know the ID believers would have a cow at such a suggestion. They are all about blurring the line between Public Institutions and religeon as long as its only one way.

Its not just bad. Its impressively bad. Its not the content though, its the design. To start you are presented with a tree with a bunch of flags on it. It turns out this is a Europe only contest and you are supposed to choose a country, but since they dont tell you that, I assumed I was choosing language and selected the Brittish flag. Sloppy.

This is a tired argument that is always used but means nothing. "Im all for X, but now is not a good time" When is a good time? When have things ever been so good that we can spend money on Big Ideas(tm) without taking that money away from Important Things(tm). If we actually lived by this concept nobody would have invented the wheel, because it took time away from clubbing small animals on the head with big sticks.

If we put this thing in math terms we would all agree, but we are putting it in english. It is therefor up to interpretation. (as is my spelling ability) Even if its an incorrect intterpretation :D Move along. theres nothing to see here. These are not the math whizes were looking for.

For the love of god man. that attitude IS what wrong. "Oh poor me. I cant teach my kid to be good. thats the schools job. I cant teach my kid to read, thats the schoold job. I cant teach my kid right from wrong. theres too much evil on TV" If you, as a parent of a child under 6, have less influence than TV, your doing something very, very wrong. And if you feel that way after they are 6, its because you screwed up when they were young. dont blame it on the school. dont blame it on TV. dont blame it on games. suck it up and take responisibity. do you relly think that when you are standing at the pearly gates god is going to listen to "TV made parenting too hard to do it well"? Stop whining, go out there AND PARENT FOR FOR GODS SAKE.
