  1. Re:Christian propaganda...? on Chronicles of Narnia Trailer · · Score: 1
As a Christian, I can tell you that the Chronicles are not discrete. They are blatantly religious.

You know what? I like the books. And I don't think it should have any bearing on whether or not you like them either. They're entertaining books.

Wow, apparently a lot of people thought this was flamebait.

Anyhow, I have MEPIS, and I approve. Linux needs to be easy and painless and there is no reason it can't be.

Have you ever installed XP on a crawling win98 machine? It's absolutely amazing. It's like a whole new computer. It goes from being slow, clunky, chuggy, to fast and responsive. I've done this a number of times (people pay me to give new life to their old machines), and the results amaze me every time.

One reason I really like Firefox is that the people who work on it have really earned my trust. Who are these new people?

    How is this not flamebait?

He's saying "Don't ever make a new language, we already have C." Then he says, python totally rules (I AGREE).

As if having C# in your toolbox is going to hurt anything. AS IF.

  6. Come on. on mc chris Answers Your Questions · · Score: 1
MC Chris is a cool guy. I like his music. I also acknowledge that this interview isn't really appropriate for our community.

But can we at least not be so insulting to this guy? Your beef is with slashdot, not mc chris. Someone from slashdot approached him to do an interview, and he humored us. This is the thanks he gets. So maybe we shouldn't be so rude. What if he reads these comments?

I believe the poster was going for (Score:5, Funny), not (Score:4, Interesting). OS 9 was indeed a difficult OS to exploit, but I seem to recall it not being particularly stable. I was a mac fanatic at the time.
