  1. Are netscape still relevant? on Peeking at Netscape 8 · · Score: 5, Insightful

FTA: "Considering the recent popularity of Firefox, and the brand name Netscape holds, I can foresee this being a very popular browser. It could not only be a threat to Internet Explorer, as Firefox has been, but also Firefox itself."

Netscape? Strong brandname? Yes people who have been on the net for awhile know of them, but the way I see it the Netscape PR department have their work cut out for them to match the media buzz that surrounded FF 1.0 release, let alone convince people they should switch from IE/FF (back) to Netscape.

The company however described a dual-core gaming system system such as the Pentium Extreme Edition 840 as an "investment" that will pay off as enthusiast system once dual-core-capable games will be available. Another area in which Intel seem to be besting AMD is nonsense. Gaming Rig? Investment? Anything that doesnt depreciate by 60% in 2 months cannot be considered a serious gaming "system"

This will all become moot as soon as Longhorn comes out. According to the press releases - its gonna be the greatest OS ever! No need to reinstall! Ever! Anyway, I pity those unfortunate souls who are going to have to take all the activation calls, there cant be many more undignified jobs than that.
