In much the same way, before we were sequencing DNA, scientists 'knew' that humans had the most DNA, because we're 'clearly the most complex species'. After being sequenced, it turns out we have less bases than rice.
ABS brakes help everyone. Try braking and steering at the same time without it. And your post carries the tone of someone who believes himself to be a well above average driver. Guess what: most drivers believe themselves to be above average drivers. Our capability for self appraisal is not good.
He pulled the Land Rover over to the nearside but as it mounted the grass verge a bracket close to the rear axle snapped.

Officers found 30 defects on the yellow Land Rover 110 Station Wagon after the crash, including a failing hand brake, worn rear brake drums and shoes, loose steering wheel and mismatched calipers.
And that's the issue. Some people will argue in court that although they were using the phone, they weren't distracted, when study after study shows driving while on the phone is dangerous. The law says in black and white that you cannot use the phone while driving, so there can be no argument in court.
If Israel wishes not to be treated as the bad guy, then they should stop acting like the bad guy. Demolishing people's homes, closing borders to make Gaza a prison and handing down collective punishment do nothing for Israel's image, and gives the religious extremists in the region a concrete reason for the destruction of Israel. If you think Israel are the innocent victims of Palestinian oppression, then you really need to re-evaulate your worldview.
Someone always makes that argument on these discussions. The reason for a specific law is that there can be no argument over whether the person was driving while distracted. If you are using your phone, you can be prosecuted, without any defence (other than arguing you weren't actually using your phone).
Here's the difference: with the iPhone you could glance at your screen, and notice you have an unread email. Some proportion of people will be tempted enough to attempt to read it.
Just because kids can cause a distraction in the car, doesn't mean that other distractions can't be eliminated. Clearly, you can't ban people transporting children, and I'd wager that far more people are distracted by their phone/GPS device in the car than are distracted by their children. And children screaming in the back of the car is far less distracting than focusing all your attention on your iPhone's touchscreen. Especially when you consider kids can be made to shut up if they get too noisy (the threat of pulling over usually worked on me and my sister).
The answer is you shouldn't be using adjusting navigation devices with a touch screen whilst driving. It's an unnecessary distraction, and requires your total attention because there's no tactile feedback. If you need to adjust your GPS device, pull over, it's that simple. No need to risk your life and the lives of others.
I think the world would be better without MMS, but not SMS. Text messages do not require as strong a signal as is needed to make a voice connection, let alone a data connection.
Camino is not a branch of Firefox. Camino predates Firefox and was originally called Chimera. It also predates Safari, and was created in a time when Internet Explorer was the dominant browser on the Mac.
Unfortunately, the moderators don't seem to be doing a very good job on this article. Normally when the author of an article posts on a discussion, they are quickly modded up, but I notice that none of your posts have been.
This was not a fish slaughtered by the scientist. He bought it from the local supermarket, so by the time it had reached the scanner it had been dead for probably more than a day.
No. The Home Sharing feature requires an iTunes account to enforce the 5 computer limit. And Apple would just say XP only supports 5 computers if that were the case. They would just see it as another marketing opportunity to tout OS X's superiority.
Feast your eyes on that button. Some worse examples of overly glossy aqua buttons can be found in the store and on other developer pages, but you have to be logged on. They mostly seem to be on pages to do with account management.
Empirical experience? You mean anecdotes?
Civilians, in general, don't volunteer to live in a war zone.

The number of legs on a person is not normally distributed. I would assume that driving skill is normally distributed.
By the same argument, Steve Bullmer should go on a killing spree and shoot up a mall to promote Windows 7 because "everyone would talk about it".

A signature is not supposed to be legible. It is meant as a security feature (albeit a poor one).

So turn off syncing! It's not rocket science.

Probably won't happen. The classic is dead. When the touch doubles to 128GB next time around, that'll be the end.
The DMCA is only violated in the case of encryption. And this chip has no encryption. Get some actual arguments if you want to be taken seriously.
I'll reply by posting the same thing another commenter did. The EFF says it is not DRM. It is a controller chip with no encryption.
