Well, if you've read the preliminary reviews, they've ranged from terrible to amazingly terrible. I personally have no problem with changes, or different interpretations - - we know that this movie can not be the book. The thing is, the purist fan base is the one who writes reviews like "why did you take out all the great verbal comedy and include so much stupid physical comedy"?
I'm curious how the investor feels about the issue, that's why I'm asking:-)
Was investing in a franchise with such a purist fan base ever a concern for you, and what audience do you see this film appealing to most in light of such concerns?
