  1. Great Idea on Publishers/Authors Angry at Amazon Selling Used Books · · Score: 1

hey wait, I got a great idea, lets extend this concept. lets make sure no one can re-sell a used computer because everyone who makes computers has to eat to, And we should make it illegal to even UPGRADE a computer... hmm lets see.. you buy a machine with 64mb ram and now you have to buy a whole new machine!!! a 400mhz processor came with it? wanna upgrade to 600mhz? too bad you gotta buy a new machine.. in fact lets get rid of any used item.. why don't we outlaw ebay and other auction sites. How DARE THE PUBLIC buy somthing that is not brand spanking new. Infact this could totally revitalize our economy, boost the stock market, cure world hunger(50% chance) and what would you with all the stuff thats used and you can't re-sell? Well recycle it of course!!! this would provide countless new jobs and building new business for the sole purpose of taking perfectly good usable items(but now illegal) and breaking them down into parts to be re-used!!(this has a 60% chance of curing world hunger).. this is truly amazing, we're talking about a total cultural revolution here ppl!! we can create so many jobs because everything has to be new!!!! and just think.. it all started because amazon wants to offer used copies of books and the authors guild complains.. lets call our senators right away!

  2. The best game ever...... on Up, Up, Down, Down: Part Four · · Score: 1

Well i would say without a doubt the best game I ever played was coincidentally the first game EGM ever game 3 10's to a game.. now a days gaming magazines give em out all the time.. but ages ago it was an extreme rarity. The game you ask? Why it was Wanders from Y'S... for the turbo graph-x CD player.. I've still never played a game that has kept me up and excited for the next scene as much as this one has.... wish i could find a copy again these days and old Turbo graphx... way ahead of its time....

  3. This is the greatest.. ya gotta visualize it on Mapping Phones To IP Addresses · · Score: 1

I work for a leading VOIP company and this similar to what i'm designing... imageing you have one phone number as a locator ID that is able to reach you anywere you are based on how you define it... more than a find me follow me service.. the potential for enhancements are almost limitless.. a complete unique way of contact... it allows you to be contacted and you can choose how they contact you based on rules you supply.. boss calls you one yer one number.. auto forward to voice mail or to your cell. etc etc.. the ability to recieve PHONE CALLS from the pstn world on your PC or IP phone via a normal 10 digit number(us ppl for now, later the world..) this article is very very basic.. but you'll see tons more like it soon.. it IS the next killer app... see ya there :)

    Peace & Love

  4. Apple has gone down hill on Apple's Ad Agency Goes After Mac Rumour Sites · · Score: 1

I can believe apple is wasting so much energy on rumors sites. They should conecentrate on getting OS X out... it was suppose to originally be out 6 months before win2000... they are turnin in to microsoft these days..... damn shame... miss my mac plus and ancient art of war

  5. Re:Not bad... on Phish Offers Archive Concert in MP3 · · Score: 1

Ya know its a real shame when incompetent morons like yourself make comments like that..its people like your self that continue to perpetuate the stupid class distinction system that we live in.. So a "dirty Hippy" band puts some of thier music live on MP3 for their fans and all you can believe is that the fans dunt really care.. maybe if you'd take the time to explore you'd find that phish phans have an amazing presence on the internet from www.jambase.com to www.gadiel.com/phish to www.phish.net and others. But then again the bands you listen to I bet would not dare put out their music from a live concert for you to listen to or let you tape at the concerts so the community that likes the music can hear more of the band's live music... your just probably to busy recompiling another kernel to even look at the signifigance of this.. damn shame...

  6. Them Damn RBOC's on Modem Tax - Urban Legend Come True? · · Score: 1

So the way I see is this... You get charged for having a line from your local telco. And when you use it for longer than your local telco would like you to use it. They wanna charge you more for the line.. Ie.. double charging... doesn't seem quite right... of course soon with any real luck all RBOC's will ghost away.... Cable modem for Internet... Cell Phone(not through an RBOC) and voila... no more need for the horrible Bell Atlantic and her brothers/sisters...

  9. Its His creation on Obi-Wan speaks out against franchise · · Score: 1

I think that people don't realize that this is George's Creation. If he wants to market the hell out of it, thats his right. People have this delerium that once somthing becomese so big and large and everyone loves it that they have a right to say what the creator may or may not do with it.. they need to relax and get on with thier lives.
