    Tom Tom Go 300. Download update from Tom Tom website, copy to card, plug into Tom Tom, turn on Tom Tom. Done.

    I've never had to do anything else for any other Tom Tom with removable storage.

    The DLSE took the claim. They could not come to a decision, mediation failed, and thus they said "Leave this up to the courts since there's a similar case working through the system right now. After that, you should have more clarity and recourse through the courts."

    That case was this Uber case. Now that this has been settled with various things clarified, it's time to file.

    I went to the DLSE here in California and filed a complaint. Nothing ever happened out of it, and I'm currently getting a bunch of other former drivers together to get the ball rolling in a real suit.

    It's been that way with every TomTom, Garmin, and other GPS unit I've used. What shitty unit are you using that requires Windows to update it?

    Learn how to explain the how and whys of things in your documentation, and maybe you'll get more users.

    The company and its franchisees pull the independent contractor status all the goddamned time while doing all they can to violate California law - charging you for uniforms (illegal under CA law) deduction of tips from credit card purchases (illegal just about anywhere) refusal to pay mileage reimbursement (IRS law violation) and much, much more.

    John Schnatter is a class-A business criminal and needs to be taken to task by the courts.

    I've done the same. This unplanned upgrade hosed two production systems of mine, after spending two months getting everything set to actually work on Windows 7.

    Hosed my music production machine and the machine used for coding my game project.

    Cover that greenhouse with solar panels and use LED, and you're practically home-free. Even in Antarctica, which while not pictured, actually gets LONG periods of constant sunlight and thus has a higher yearly irradiance in many locations, versus say Australia.

    Nope. Red and blue are just the quickest to be absorbed, while green actually passes through more easily and bounces around more easily, and primarily powers growth under the canopy. When plants reflect (actually re-transmit) green, you're only seeing certain wavelengths of green coming back at you. That's because there are hundreds to thousands of biological pathways that works with various wavelengths of light, and are absorbing them and re-emitting a photon with a lower energy level.

    Plants evolved under full spectrum sunlight. Of the visible light that makes it through the atmosphere, green has the highest amount of overall energy. For plants to not utilize it would be ungodly wasteful. Too much blue is damaging to chlorophyll. Too much red can cause premature flowering/reproduction.

    Balanced white light is the way to go.

    Actual sunlight efficiency - ~93 l/w

    Current non-lab LED efficiency - 220+ l/w (Cree MK-R) with 300+ l/w already having been announced months ago.

    Of course, people in the horticulture game are using the 110 l/w - 130 l/w LEDs, instead of the easily-available 180+ l/w LEDs out now.

    LEDs have such efficiency that solar powering the entire thing is the way to go, and has been for a few years.
