    Except for the logfiles that any solid OS should keep no matter what...

    Which means OSX, Linux, Windows, MenuetOS - they all suck on basic security, just on that standpoint alone. A-grade encryption on logfiles and mandatory logs. If you do not possess this as a business, you're going to fail eventually.

    So why are all of you win/mac/*nix zealots being so fucking obtuse?

    If Amtrak actually cared about security, this would have been seen months ago.

    8GB RAM and a 512MB HD GeForce 7800 plays HD video just fine in my dual-proc G5. Javascript is shit so I avoid it like the plague anyways, and GPU browser acceleration, what a fucking joke.

    I mean, you don't even need particularly awesome hardware. Get a Mini ITX board, with a couple of onboard GigE ports, toss in a 4-port Gig-e card, and a wireless card, install Linux.

    It would last ages, and you'd probably only need to upgrade the wireless portion, which could be done cheaper than buying a new wireless router.

    You're so ignorant of combo solar/wind turbines it's not even funny. Get the fuck out of here. Entire standing structure, plus blades, solar-paint coated. Generates electricity directly via photovoltaics, applied as a replaceable paint. Reduces the need for a larger wind turbine, reducing the need for larger more expensive generator head, also reduces te need for longer feeds of expensive thick copper cable.

    You may run shit but you don't DESIGN shit like I do, so you need to shut the fuck up.

    Yea, maybe your area of SoCal, far east of the valley area, stinks like Bakersfield. But us sitting pretty here in Riverside, the only time we get a bad stench is when it rains.

    Plus we get more sun so that'll boost Tesla's solar storage plans, and maybe also give him incentive to invest in Wind, as well.

    It'd probably be cheaper and smarter to just pay for your company and employees to move to Southern California, have better access to several major interstate corridors, better choices of location, better prices, and more.

    Sitting in the Bay Area, when you are a Vehicle company, is a bad idea. You want more access to major traffic corridors to make it easier to get to you. Plenty of that in SoCal, not much of that in the Bay Area. You've only got the 101/5. Here we've got 101/5/15/10.
