"Congrats to the LA police for not killing any innocent people when responding to those incidents."
As if the LA police could actually hit someone. Remember Christopher Dorner? Remember that blue truck they shot up with two women inside, thinking he was in that truck? 40 something rounds and ZERO fatalities?
The LA police are so shitty with their guns, that they had to beat Rodney King point blank - they know they're too fucking incompetent to even hit the broadside of a barn with a firearm.
If you have an ungrounded cage the source of the electric field within the cage will create a charge accumulation on the inside. This, on the other hand, leads to an equally large net charge on the outside of the cage, of the opposite polarity.
Which when able to discharge, will create interference across a wide goddamned range of frequencies.
I can tell you've never encountered a spark-gap emitter, let alone know the hundreds of potential sources for one being created, let alone how to do broadband jamming.
Sorry, Disney. Redbox actually buys retail copies. If you didn't want them reselling what's legally theirs, you should've actually fucking cooperated and given them license to distribute instead of forcing them to go this route, which has obviously bitten you in the ass.
"Absent any regulations, your options will be limited to... suck it up princess... and signing a document saying you promise not to use it for anything related to copyright infringement and pay extra."
Ahh, that'd be tortious interference of contract between me and the companies I'm legally paying. No.
"Do you not grasp that consumers are about to get royally fucked with this change"
Do you not grasp that consumers won't get fucked by this change if they bothered to read and understand the fucking law, which you apparently do not?
Protip: Plenty of old laws and settled case precedent actually negate new laws. Take your fucking ass to school, or a library, and read a goddamned law book.
"However that is still very, very different from actual user data and user documents"
Those get put in the windows.old folder (which is essentially a copy of all user profiles and files and the Windows OS from the root drive,) which gets wiped, and I can repeatedly reproduce it.
Spinning Rust might work, but again, you need to be able to keep the drive absolutely clean from potential infection. I wouldn't trust SSDs for archival purposes.
Let's do Discord versus Camfrog. Minus encryption and chat history, Camfrog actually offers more in a smaller package, and if they did add in encryption and chat history, it would STILL be smaller versus Discord (47 vs 55 megs currently.) Camfrog wrote a lot of their own libraries and code instead of using slightly-customized bolt-on crap like Discord uses. Good enough Paltalk bought them out then
Wake me up when Discord can do thousands of videos at once as an actual chat room, like Camfrog, with actual TV+ quality and framerate.
"That is his (previous) operating system. He should not have any of his own personal data in the operating system itself."
Well, to add to his story, when Win10 got forced on my system, first it put windows 7 stuff in a Windows.old folder...
And on the first fucking reboot (installing the actual sound card drivers instead of using Windows drivers,) Win10 upgraded, and deleted everything in that folder during upgrade. And it doesn't tell you that it's doing so.
And I've been able to get this behavior to repeat multiple times on various clean test systems.
"One meter or less in diameter or is located in Alaska"
You failed to read that thoroughly - that applies to SATELLITE ANTENNAS.

It sounds like you're incapable of reading if you can't tell that the only thing I do is:
FRESH INSTALL,
INSTALL A SOUND DRIVER,
REBOOT,
OH SHIT THE HARD DRIVE IS MISSING MULTIPLE GIGS OF FILES!
I swear, 7-digit Slashdotters are the more retarded than the kids eating fucking tide pods and snapping mini bear traps to their fucking genitalia.

"Protect me bubble wrap."
You say while it suffocates you!

Considering several high-profile online multiplayer games download and update via torrents, good luck with that.
Don't forget the half a million killed by cigarettes every year!
Then they get fucked for trespass to chattels.
"Grounding only serves to help the thing not build a static charge"
If there's no intrusive wiring, which in the post, yet again, is undiscernable.
You're making a lot of assumptions on very little data. Not wise.
Yes, and a fat SLAPP counter-suit against Keeper Security and the other companies involved should go a long way towards stopping their bullshit.
BTW, Keeper Security's webpage isn't even properly secure and vulnerable to the most basic input fuzzing attacks.
Pa-fucking-thetic.
DING DING DING! We have the winner!
As soon as I saw the connection I knew those speeds were utter bullshit.
"Induction motors"
Still generate a fucking magnetic field and thus generate interference. Do you even know how induction works?
Lemme give you an Induction lamp and let's see how long your electronics remain happy.
Do you even spark-gap emitter, sonny boy?
Twisted cabling to prevent inductive interference and radiation. Sometimes makes using an inductive line loop detector fun.
Considering you have NO GROUND that can be discerned by the low detail in your post, I'm not surprised you aren't convinced.
Come back when you can verify a ground for the enclosure which you are testing.
"after some amount of time push a 'bricking' update out to the older vulnerable Switch versions to disable them"
That would be quite illegal and definitely actionable in court. Intentional destruction of property.
Yep, full-out anti-competitive behavior.
Time for a new Microsoft vs. United States, only this time with Google.

No, you are for failing at analogies. Notice how all you can say is an insult instead of having an actual rebuttal.
Try again when you can do something higher than kindergarten-level replies.

That's because there are several different levels of OEM key that Microsoft sells, but you can pretty much group them into Volume and Non-Volume.
Volume level keys will work. Non-volume keys will not.
