  1. Families? on Can the iPhone Popularize Fingerprint Readers? · · Score: 3, Interesting

    I know Slashdot is mostly single guys, but I'd be curious to know if this feature supports multiple fingerprints for family situations. I unlock my phone, my wife will unlock it to look something up, my kids will unlock it to play a game or watch a video - How will this work in these scenarios? I'd also expect customization - I'm fine with my kid using a fingerprint to unlock the phone, but I don't want them to be able to make iTunes purchases at all. I own that right.

    It's possible your CRT TV doesn't have video-in, but if that's the case you can get an RF modulator for twenty buck.

    Yes. The ACLU filed lawsuits and the judge ruled against the government. Documents were then compelled to be released.

    In those 'other' countries the ACLU would not exist (members dead or tortured and rotting in jail), the judge would not exist, or if he did and he ruled against the government he would have been shot and no documents would have been released. Oh yeah, and I would have been dragged away in the night for making this Slashdot post.

    What is Christianity in America. You can ask each sect and they will groups X,Y,Z are also Christians but U,V,W are not. But if you ask an other group they will say other groups are and are not. They cover a wide range of values. Some very Progressive other very Conservative, some take a more moderate approach.

    This is a common misconception. A person is a "Christian" if they believe the Apostles' Creed. There are minor variations of the creed depending on your Christian denomination, but regardless of whether you are Lutheran, Catholic, Anglican or Baptist, if you believe the creed you are part of the club, and if you don't, you're not.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostles'_Creed

    I believe in God,
    the Father almighty,
    Creator of heaven and earth,
    and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
    who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
    born of the Virgin Mary,
    suffered under Pontius Pilate,
    was crucified, died and was buried;
    he descended into death;
    on the third day he rose again from the dead;
    he ascended into heaven,
    and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
    from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
    I believe in the Holy Spirit,
    the holy Christian Church,
    the communion of saints,
    the forgiveness of sins,
