LCDs are definitely more comfortable for me. After looking at a CRT monitor (a bright, high quality 17" flatscreen @ 100 hz) for about half an hour, the screen seems fuzzy and my eyes get tired and restless.
But I'm using an LCD monitor right now and everything's cool.
It just depends on the person. I'm one who is very sensitive to this, but some people don't even notice.
Hey I just switched to Ubuntu, too! Seriously, though, buy a normal modem quick---it's not worth dickin around with a winmodem for hours just to save ~$3.85.
Read the above posts. All democratic countries have screwballs lobbying for this kind of stuff. It would be suspicious if this stuff was NOT out in the open.
Don't get all defensive. I think these robots are great. I'm sure they will get a good return on their investment, because the point of them was for publicity for the developers/designers and to show off at the expo. I just hope they use this new technology to build me cheaper widgets...if you know what I mean.
Why would they spend so much money on building a robot that had no real use. Sure, it's a nice gimmick to make the news today, but 5-10 years from now they will be sitting in a warehouse or museum collecting dust. For millions of dollars.
Why not build a robot that has a real, industrial or military use?

You just made over 1000 people get looked at strangely by someone else in the room.
I would for sure buy a kit for this! Would you? When it isn't lined up right it still looks a bit like a refracted image.

HA HA!!! This is the funniest post I've seen in a long time. :D Or not.
Put this one in the Slashdot hall of fame.
As a Canadian, I don't see this as flamebait! Only expected ;)

I have to take a break once in a while.
