I have to say I agree with your comment nzMM, a lot of mods look promising and have great ideas but they do die off because a community isn't built up quickly enough. I am playing a mod at the moment for Battlefield 2 that bucks this trend called Project Reality. It really is the game BF2 should have been and has regular releases with a very active community providing a lot of feedback and sneak previews of work in progress. Anybody who hated BF2 because of the flag hopping, whack-a-mole gameplay should really check it out. I hope other modders follow the example.

You are right on the money there mate, I also live in the UK and I agree 100% that our road are just too small for SUV's. There is some justification for them in the US with miles of wide open roads but here the urban areas are to congested and the rural areas the roads tend to be even smaller. There is an argument for country people to drive SUV's especialy in winter, but I have to say I disagree with anybody driving these things around the towns and cities there is simply not enough space. I also find that this phenomenon really does tend to adhere to the sterotype, I used to live in one of the suburbs around Newcastle, every morning when I went to work I would have to drive down the same strech of road that had 2 private schools on it. Without fail, every single day (apart from school holiday's) there would be a queue of large SUV's in the entrance and car park areas that would block the road as mum dropped little Jimmy off. This for somebody usualy late for work was infuriating. I would like to see road tax increased substantialy on these things, maybe in London they could double the congestion charge for SUV's?

Im really not sure that what they adoption will slow down completely. Firefox doesnt have the same marketing machine promoting it that Microsoft have and it doesnt come bundled with the OS but it does have many evangelists (I have friends who install it on any PC they work on and allways tell the owner to use it). I think the adoption might well be determined by the users awareness as much as anything else and that seems to mostly happen by word of mouth. I can see the point of view many users have that IE is just not broken but as a tech that wasnt my experience, I heard many IE tales of woe for users. I think in the end most users want somthing to just work so they might use firefox or Opera or IE it just depends if somebody else takes care of installing it for them, in most cases IE is first there.
