For some time now Intel has relied on slick marketing and big numbers while AMD did the same thing... better.
Efficient computing is where AMD has gained a nice edge over the years. Intel is playing catch-up at this point.

Google gives people what they want, and even comes up with things that are great ideas that most people hadn't thought of yet.
Microsoft tries to push everyone into thier own little mold of what they want you to have. Thier Windows monopoly will only permit this so long before competitors gain enough competitive edge to start stealing flocks of sheep.
The funny thing is.. Microsoft created this due to coming to the realization that boxes were getting 0wn3d within seconds of being internet accessable.. before the user could even download patches. LOL

I am sorry, but almost anyone can afford a place to live but people are often unwilling to sacrifice *lifestyle* and not keep up with the Jones.
I have aquantences who complain all the time about how broke they are while they go to dinner and movies every other night, buy pointless decorations for the house and spend 30 bucks a month on beer and smokes!
Make your children a priority, find a way to be home with them and it can be done but are you willing to give up your nice car/ski trips/vacations/eating out in order to get it done?
I realize a single mom/dad may have a bit of a struggle but it is still possible.
Is the game terrible? Yes
Is the game fun? Yes
Should the government be telling creative people what they can and can not develop? No
This goes hand in hand with freedom of speech.
The core issue lies in morality (lack thereof) and parents who just don't care. Let capitolism determine what will be produced.
