I have a p910a (and had a p800 before that) and one of the things that really stand out is the keyboard on the back of the keyflip. The keyflip can increase the size of the screen and become a PDA or when not used can become a cell phone (which is the most important use of the device). By doing away with that, there really is no reason to buy the p990 instead of the Palm 700 (other than that you are a rabid anti-u$ fanatic). You can argue that the P910a's design might result in higher strain on the hinges. But I found the hinges to be pretty sturdy and I always use my index fingers to support the body of the phone while I use the thumb to do the typing.
This is a step back for the P series and i hope SonyEricsson will change it.
In an unrelated case, Ronald Redding, 37, of Linthicum Heights, Md., was charged Tuesday with giving his copy of "Million Dollar Baby" to a friend. Redding faces a misdemeanor charge of willfully infringing a copyright by distributing the film.
Does this mean I cant lend a DVD that I buy legally to my friend?
When you want to win someone over you dont use shock and awe. After all, he is trying to convince a general audience here: managers, moms, etc. etc. You try and use coercive arguments that they can agree to. In this case, you maybe want to compare between bumping your toes to a root canal. Things that, you know, people can relate to.
Disclaimer: IANAM (I Am Not A Marketeer (sp?)), but I think I have a convincing argument.
Besides the often mentioned lack of outlook functionality, the feature I really miss in OO is the reading layout (the view where you can read two pages on the screen). Office 2003 has it and it is a very nice feature. Really helps in reading really boring specs docs.
I looked up the OO org forums and people apparently have been requesting a _normal_ view for years!!! The OO people apparently dont think too much of extra views at all!!
So when people say OO has all the functionality of Office, they dont know what they are talking about. Either they dont know what the competition offers or they just dont use an office suite to find out what features are useful.
But I still use OO for my personal docs; the built in PDF exporter is a nice touch.

Seriously, guys who make these kind of comparisons shouldnt be let out of the room; just stay inside and code. And let others do PR work.
pardon my ignorance, but why is this funny?
