It doesn't seem to be AI to me at all. Just some statistical tool based on human knowledge. I don't deny that there might be some applications but:

I agree. This book is wonderful, and it's free!! I can't help but compare it to books by Rudin which cost more than 100$. They're great, but hardly affordable.
On algebra, Serge Lang's Algebra is said to be the best; so far, I haven't found any that I like (got my worst grade in Galois Theory).
