Internet says Elton John is destroying music.

On the contrary! They have figured out a way to sync watches... using our satellites! :)

  3. I've got an idea! on TiVo from AdZapper to Advertiser's New Best Friend · · Score: 1

How about this... We get rid of all the advertising on TV, and then raise to price you have to pay to watch. Everyone that has been paying for advertising then lowers the price of their products. That way, we pay for what we want directly, rather than having it added onto the price of goods we buy and then paid to the content producers for advertisement time. Even if we didn't get rid of ALL advertising, we could at least scale things down. The whole "show the same ad at every break" is not only annoying, but pointless. Do they really expect someone will be uninterested in a product the first 5 times they show their annoying ad, but then suddenly change their mind the 6th time?

  4. Re:I use the same pw as they used in atomic bombs on Feds Hack Wireless Network in 3 Minutes · · Score: 1

If you think about it... in terms of using it as a password (rather than just a number) that is actually more secure than using any word. I don't go around guessing passwords, but guessing 00000000 would probably be the furthest from my mind - especially from something I expect to be secure. It would end up taking a brute force using numbers to finally crack it. Not that I'm saying 00000000 is ideal or anything... but it is actually much better than what the majority of people are using for passwords today.

  5. Re:Uhh, VoIP is digital on VoIP Wiretapping · · Score: 3, Insightful

Encryption is a very important part of VoIP - without it, anyone on the network could rather easily sniff the conversations. I am guessing whatever access is wanted here includes the keys to decrypt the conversations.

The problem with that is that I would misread one and click the wrong option, installing something I didn't want.
