    The U.S.. and a bunch of exiles still pissed about losing their wealth from when they were Battista cronies, have a serious hate-on for Cuba. Until the Castros are dead and Cuba is a slathering U.S. lapdog, the U.S. and CIA will actively sabotage any development there.

    I had a college prof who used to tell freshmen and sophomore programmers that clearly had no acumen in the field (male and female both) that they needed to find a new major. It was harsh, but he was usually right.

    Not for me, thanks. Two of the things I love about consoles are never having to check "System Requirements" or upgrade to support a new game. If I wanted that, I would just go back to PC gaming and playing the never-ending videocard chase.

    To me, the Steambox looks like the worst of both worlds.

    You obviously haven't priced a rental car lately. The figures simply don't add up. Electric costs SERIOUS money over gas, no matter how you cut it. Most people just can't afford it.

    A MythTV hack isn't going to get you easily extractable, searchable, licensed, broadcast-quality video that interfaces directly with pro video editors. This thing is designed for a pro market, where $250,000 isn't much money for this sort of tech.
