Is Google actually getting the data from the modded apps?
I suspect they pull that data directly out of their asses. I just checked my city. Its 5 in the morning, street in front of my house is empty yet Google maps is showing heavy congestion:)
CSI connector is 100% closed, all code sitting in a blob. JamesH from RPi foundation rejected any pleads basically stating users are TOO CLUELESS to figure out setting up image sensor so they locked it down. Additionally they will be selling $5 cellphone image sensor at $15 and you wont be able to use any other one. (I wouldnt be surprised if they got special revision from Aptina just to lock it down harder).
I don't know about their government but what I do know is that our government would store that DNA data forever.
This is the second such case. They promised to destroy samples after first one ended - of course they lied:). People still wanted the second one. People like to be sheep
If they ship their code with Linux to their customers, and also ship their code with further modifications with their own OS to other customers, it doesn't mean that the further modifications are covered by the GPL. The only code that is covered by the GPL is the code found in the kernel.
I wont even begin to say how short sighted this is. Let me see, a technologist wanting to be close to the infrastructure which will be considered TO BECOME THE BEST/FASTEST IN THE WORLD.
Read up on the NBN and understand what it represents as technology as a whole. Know that it puts every other form of current infrastructure to shame and also know that it will be a precursor to the development as technology as a whole.
Things to consider.
- Removal of old style media broadcasting, which includes the retrenchment of satellite technology. - The activation and encouragement of voice services within mobile carrier systems to be provided as strictly data. I.E phone carriers simply become ISPs. - The removal of ISP infrastructure or responsibility of infrastructure. I.E ISP's as a point of contention simply resell the same level of services throughout the entire network I.E your phone, your internet, your tv come from one place and all competing providers sell the same QOS.
Get off Slashdot now, pick a new profession and find a another method of contributing to society. Technology isn't your strong point.
One word - CAPS. NBN is an attempt by old telco incumbents to derail national network just like AT&T tried with the internet. Read up on early days of internet and AT&T lobbying against NSFNET. Lobbyists managed to limit funding down to $15mil, that was barely enough for 56Kbit lines.
This time Lobbyists somehow managed to ASS RAPE you into bandwidth caps in an internal fiber network. It makes as much sense as establishing bandwidth caps on a 1Gbit office switch.
I'll get hate for saying this but NOW does everyone see why words like "viral" get applied to the GPL? Here they gave code they wrote to the Linux SCSI team which they used. They can take that same code and make a proprietary version all they want because THEY WROTE IT
NOT if they ship code with linux to their customers. Linux is GPLed, their code is inside GPLed kernel = their code is GPLed.
Yes, and this is why games are still being made DX9 compatible. It wasn't until Windows 7 gained some traction that DX10 actually became viable though even today making a DX10/11 only game is not a good prospect given the spectacular failures of DX10 only games.
There are DX9 games that only work Vista and up. New X-Com is one of them, whole game uses ONE call to ONE Vista specific file function (to get a directory listing or something). Its almost as M$ paid them to lock XP out.
I dont know about the reporting, I know that for example 16% of worlds biomass co-burning plants are in Poland. Its no brainer if you practically get refunded FULL cost of making energy from EU grands.
That is nonsense. Trees are not considred biofuel, how retarded is that? However there is a booming market for wood heating in houses, either simply with wooden logs, ore modern pellet bases central house heating. Trees are not burned in 'coal plants'... perhaps you shouldmonce visit a coal plant to get a clue how they work? If you had you did not come to such braindead ideas.
Those are not ideas, those are facts. EU coal powerplants get "clean energy" subsidies (ridiculous amounts, same as for wind and solar) when they burn wood. It is economically feasible right now to import expensive wood from America just to pretend old coal plant is now Eco.
Germany might look good on paper, but in reality they didnt build any new infrastructure, they just changed legal wording to save face while closing down Nuclear.
Your electric company is required to buy a proportion of its energy from renewable sources. That costs more than fossil electricity, hence the indirect subsidy.
Just remember that EU recognizes burning freshly cut TREES as Biofuel. Burning trees in Coal plant is a "clever" way of bypassing regulations and becoming an eco plant (you only need fixed percentage of biofuel in coal plant to become green).
If the neural net were to run on a swarm of MAVs you'd have plenty of processing power, so long as you didn't move too many of them at once, or only moved them together. But then, while they're together you can use stereo vision...
neural nets are not cpu intensive, its learning that is hard.
The problem is, no one has developed software that you walk around a building with a video camera, and it becomes a quake level. So unless they did that, I'd be interested in how they find out what is not traversable.
If the headline says "Jacko is dead" that's enough information for me to start a real conversation with colleagues, friends and the wife. Being a gobby know-it-all is not good when you want a proper discussion.
Haha this is so 2000. Nowadays headline reads "The star is dead", or "Great one died", or even "Guess who died":). There are even courses on how to write headlines that force you to click. I started avoiding big portals after they introduced this weaksauce way of bumping clicks.
Comcast and CenturyLink would still block you after using more than 250 gigs of bandwidth.
In the future "unlimited" will mean "just a second".
Australian so much loved here 100Mbit NBN has a 40GB quota :D Thats less than an hour full throttle.

Well it's not like the other SSDs on the market are exactly tried and true models
Samsung 830 is.
Pirate Bay discounts every eBook by 100%.
And if we all bought from Pirate Bay, eventually there would no longer be any more quality ebooks.
lol, the good old "good things are only made for profit". You must be one direction, just five or other shit of the month fan.
the sensor part is open and trivial to set up/communicate with, the communication port on RPI is closed black box

fun != funny
We should go back to using cruise missiles and carpet bombing.
Good, start with White house.

"their own OS" IS Linux ....

When machines start translating languages on the fly, people will stop learning other languages and that's a bad thing.
I TOTALLY AGREE, just like written word made humans stop remembering things!

No, in EU it enables whole power station to sell "green energy" and dodge emission laws.
We end up with Germany running a bunch of coal plants producing "clan energy".
Just remember that EU recognizes burning freshly cut TREES as Biofuel.
As they should. That's exactly what it is.
not if burning 3% trees in coal plant magically makes it a GREEN Energy.
Your electric company is required to buy a proportion of its energy from renewable sources. That costs more than fossil electricity, hence the indirect subsidy.

fascinating. let me tell you a story. russotto could very well file a FOIA against FEMA
denied for national security reasons
any other ideas?
Someone transferred her number and she didnt notice? And she runs a business?
Not getting any calls wasnt a clue enough?

Edward Norton.
