This should have said: "-tag". Sorry. Why does it disappear when I use plain text?

It seems I need to use the -tag more often.

Done! Because this really is AWESOME! I never thought a US-American-built-vehicle could get such great gas mileage.

As noted already, it is within the now popular "shiny orb" category. For the best example, see Mac OSX (or anything else Apple creates). Mac OSX is already a "strong, capable *nix" that uses "shiny orb"-y designs. FreeBSD definitely has the power to be one, too!

  6. Yes, Google is soooo cool!? on Google Releases GDS 2.0 · · Score: 1

I find it interesting that Google is regarded even by many slashdotters (who are usually very wary of large companies) as a company that wants good for all humanity. Hey, wake up! Google is a company, its primary purpose is to create money (which they are doing really well, it appears). I definitely would say too that they have created some really nifty pieces of technologoy, but if you look at it, all it is is just a company, not a religion.

Why would they use a ship? I would think an on-shore platform would be more stable if you want to drill that far down. But then again, the earth in Japan is moving every now and then, so it's probably safer anyway...

  8. Re:Future of treatment? // Glucowatch on First Successful Cell Transplant Cures Diabetes · · Score: 1

The project has been cancelled, and the producing company has gone bankrupt. At least that is what I have heard from my doctor a couple of days ago. I didn't really expect too much out of it (I am diabetic type I myself), because of what I perceive to be (as you correctly say), a rather high uncertainty/inaccuracy. I'd rather sting myself with the Glucometer and get that little drop of blood out to get more accuracy. But if you are interested, my doc also said that the company (Cygnus) was bought up by some large corporation (I don't know which one, sorry), so research on this might continue. I wouldn't give it much of a chance for the next couple of years, though.

This has got to be one of the greatest tips I ever got from slashdot...I have been looking for modifying these settings, but never found out how to do this. This Macromedia page is now bookmarked. Thanks a lot!
