How can you trust the applicant to accurately represent their business. Is Slashdot.org a non-profit still? Should/. be forced to discontinue the org and only use the com?
Also, keep in mind that the data is sent through AOL's servers. Should the data be confidential? Has anyone read the AIM Terms of Agreement? Does anyone trust a company that gives a product away?
M$ has made it clear in the past that IE is in fact part of the operating system. It must be so integral to Windows(in whatever flavor) that the entire OS needs to be ported.
Do you see the Open Source model being adopted by other industries?
For example, the music industry. I can see new musicians making lyrics, sheet music, and MP3s freely available to individuals while charging those that would profit from their works.(such as CDs, radio stations, concerts)

"We're welcome on x-86 hardware, we're not welcome on Apple G3/G4. We respect the logic and that settles it for us."
That sounds like "No" to me. It is at the very end of the article.
Besides, who in their right mind would follow IBM when it comes to anything PC related? IMHO IBM never seems to get things right. Great ideas that go nowhere.
"What... Over...Nothing is over until we decide it is....Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Habor?....Germans? Forget it he's rolling...and it ain't over now!...'Cause when the going gets tough.(long pause with military music playing in the background). The tough get going. Who's with let's get them!Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
Don't count Be out yet. It is a wonderful desktop OS. Have you tried 4.x? The "media os" thing was timely and things have changed.
On some of the Be web sites rumor has it that Adobe has Photoshop already ported to Be. Supposedly Adobe is just waiting for there to be enought demand to justify the cost of supporting the platform.
The fact the Linux is free is a significant cause of its success. When will the big companies wake up? Give away the product to educational customers(students and schools) and that will have a great return on investment. Hell, some products could be given away to non-corporate customers too.

I know! Lets just sell everything slightly below cost to draw EVERYONE to our site. Then we sell advertising on our site to cover make a profit.
Yeah, yeah, thats it.
The guy could have just put a PSI gauge inline. doh!
IANAL: In a past job I worked which was fulltime but no explicit contract this is what I discovered for my state (FL).
If the company limits your travel while on call then they must compensate you for this.
Oh and I bet all of the RIAA members websites never use YOUR email for more than YOU intended.
The same argument could be made as to why some folks use Windows instead of Linux. Not the best, just the easiest for them.
www.axis.com has some cool looking cameras. Some run Linux and connect to your LAN.

There is also the Mini -jam from Innogear

I am just going to rename a bunch of junk files in with this format .mp3 ... Do you think they are really checking the file content?
Everybody could do it. It would be kinda tough to track down and verify every single file on napster with "metallica" in the filename.

At least one person got the right source. Next time I wont be so obscure.

The drivers will come. Everyone forgets how young Be is compared to Linux and other OSs.
