    Because we still have antiquated data lines and switches and whatnot that can only handle so much total bandwidth.

    Yes, I wish these ISPs would purchase those new magic data lines and switches that can handle an unlimited amount of total bandwidth.

    I'm bitching about the typing part, not the clicking. GUIs are suppose to be less work, not more - typing is more work (as the AC pointed out).

    It shows up when you push the start key, but after you've typed in the name of the program you want to run and clicked on it ...

    So, I have to click, type a program name, then click again. Aren't modern GUIs great? And when you and Windows disagree as to the program "name" (i.e., the "search" fails)? [ A real example from Unity (admittedly, a while ago): I wanted the start Thunderbird, but had to type "email" for it to actually find it, even though the executable was actually named "thunderbird" - sigh. ]

    And by "probably save 100,000 lives next year" Larry means "some numbers I pulled out of my ass to make this idea sound good".

    What frightens me is the idea that they could get the wrong information and give that to my doctor or insurance company.

    To make matters worse, it seems impossible to get erroneous information removed. For example: My wife was misdiagnosed with asthma by an allergist. From then on, until she died 10 years later, every doctor asked her about her asthma, and she would tell them about the error. Even now, 8 years *after* she died, I still get flyers in the mail from BC/BS about asthma addressed to her.

    I've read in several places that the U.S. 2015 Fit will have the option of a CVT or 6-speed manual.

    The other thing with ads is that I never EVER click on them.

    Perhaps the way to "solve" this is for everyone to click on all the ads, all the time, polluting their database. But I don't know, I don't have a FB account...

    Opting out in Facebook is like playing one of those old Flash games where you mouse around the screen, trying to find the hot spot that will accept a click.

So I choose to not believe that you are just a ideological shit brain and instead I now believe that only the Republicans do this sort of nasty, horrible thing.

    Your benefit of the doubt is correct - thank you and sorry for any confusion. As I responded to another comment, I just couldn't think of another big-time offender at that time -- and I said "and others", but perhaps not clear that I also meant other parties/philosophies. Out of state Conservatives and Liberals are both guilty of sticking their noses into places they don't belong in pursuit of their own, selfish, interests.
