Semiaccurate.. hmm. Seems a fitting name for such idiocy.
Sandy bridge does not have USB3. That motherboard may have a USB3 chip onboard, but it has nothing to do with Sandy Bridge other than the lame fact the SB chipsets don't have USB3 yet.
Not sure what's Informative about your post, as it's incorrect. The 320M is not a CPU integrated GPU, which is what the SB GPU is. It's an off-chip option. Just because it's in a little chip doesn't make it dissimilar to a discrete card - it just has a lower power envelope and different IO configuration to memory and the CPU bus.
Guess what happens if you take the 320M and put it on a little PCI-express board with some different traces? yep - discrete graphics!
The 320M is a discrete graphics solution, and as such would be expected to outperform an on-board graphics solution that has to live with the power constraints of being onboard the CPU but it also benefits from..being on one single chip.
In short, I'm not sure you know what you're talking about as you're comparing apples and oranges and pretending they are both grapes.
Bollocks. Mission critical depends on the context. Would anyone use a phone for an alarm to launch to space shuttle or determine when a patient needs an insulin injection? No. At that level it's certainly not "mission critical".
Mission critical in the context of your cell phone might be waking up for work, knowing when to pick your kid up from soccer practice, whatever. Nobody's going to die, but it sure is a pain in the ass and is one of the more important things you use your phone for.
Really, mostly what I'm saying is I have a hypothesis that Apple sucks and I love stories like these because it confirms my theory.
Oh nonsense. This takes an especially high level of ineptitude. Seriously, basic date bugs? And this isn't even the first for them, wasn't there a similar issue last year?
It's like a bug in 'rm' that accidentally converted the '.' character into a '*'. I mean, seriously? A date bug? Apple is pathetic.
Almost as unrealistic as some Internet dweeb submitting an effectively anonymous post to the Internet that happen to align with the interests of some other set of Big Corporations?
It would be easier for the ISPs to just charge by peak bandwidth and by the GB. So you get a plan that's $19.95 a month with 5Mb guaranteed speed with 25GB data included, $.25 per gigabyte over - that kind of thing.
The thing is we'll have whiners coming out of the woodwork because people want their cake and they want to eat it too. "Whaaaa - where's my unlimited data and 20Mb connection for $35 a month?! Whaaaaa, we need the FCC to step in and get me what I want!".
Ahahaha. I also love how the deniers make a mountain out of the email scandal mole hill. Oh no, some scientists did some bad science and some incriminating sounding mails were released, that _totally_ proves the _huge_ body of science wrong!
Climategate was just a bunch of right wing kooks making a big deal of nothing.
You guys try to make it more complex than it really is. The greenhouse effect is real, easily provable. It's also provable that we are dumping enormous amounts of human released carbon into the atmosphere. Case closed.
Now, where there's legitimate debate is how much of an impact is has. I don't think it's going to ruin the planet in 50 years, but it might in 150.
With this new NN stuff, you might see that back and it would be in their interests to do it. It's the easiest way for them to blow off the FCC in this matter.
Sure, but how do you cleanly separate the two? If you leave an exemption for bandwidth congestion, maybe your ISP (since they're evil and out to get you, naturally) will just degrade your SIP data to your provider a little - for bandwidth management's sake, of course.
If you don't let them do _any_ such management, then how do they do the legitimate stuff?
You could just expect them to be reasonable, but I wouldn't be if the FCC was making demands on me that cost me money.
Lol, settle down Sparky. I'm an atheist and I don't give a shit about anyone wanking to porn. The point wasn't that it's porn, it's that it's low-value entertainment that takes a shitload of bandwidth.
And this is..worse than the FUD we see from the NN supporters?
"OMG, COMCAST IS GOING TO CHARGE PEOPLE MORE FOR NETFLIX!" (well, no, they're not)
"OMG, THE CORPORATIONS WILL CENSOR ME!" (yeah...)
"Hey, check out this cool make believe graphic I did showing the "private Internet", it looks like a product brochure be sure to show it around all the forums even though it's make believe!"
Bunch of chicken littleism. Reminds me of the global warming debate. I tend to roll with the bulk of the science saying it is happening, and we are causing it. But chicken littles running around screaming that the Earth is going to end in 40 years if you don't buy a Prius sort of sour people on the issue and give the right wing kooks plenty of room to critisize AGW.
It's not your job. You seriously think your YouPornTube wanking session should never be managed such that it doesn't interfere with your neighbors' VOIP or VPN session to work?
You actually may, but nobody reasonable agrees with you.
I'd hoped it was obvious I was only partly serious. I wouldn't actually want them to fire rank and file employees, but anyone at VP or above I'd say fire away.
Never happen anyway, of course. There would be no value to it, Kodak is dying, nobody wants to buy them. Cheaper to just spend $50mil beating them in court over the next decade.
Isn't Kodak's market cap well less than $2BN? Google should just buy them, fire everyone, sell of the interesting parts, and then salt the land where their headquarters is.
I actually listen to Fox sometimes, either for amusement or to get a different viewpoint. You're clearly about 3 years behind, the new Naughty Word is "Progressives". "Liberals" (i.e. "libruls", "libruhls") is so 20th Century.
It seems to me NX came up with some good technology and they think they should therefore be able to profit greatly off of it.
Like many pieces of great technology, however, nobody gives a shit about the problem NX is trying to solve. The market is tiny for the number of people who would buy this kind of technology, so they're not going to be the next VMWare.
Their only hope is to adapt it to something that is useful and sell it to some larger company.
What the fuck. So Microsoft invented something and suddenly has a monopoly on something that they literally brought to the market weeks ago?
Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.
What a whiny generation of simps we've become. Whaa, I only have one choice to play a porn game, someone save me from the horrible god damn corporate oppression!
Disingenuous idiocy. First, the entire thread is about porn - they're not going to release Miss Titty USA for the Kinect.
Second, the OP mentioned that violence is ok but titties aren't (again, it would be porn, not titties). Now I don't know about you, but I don't see many efforts to prevent adults from accessing violent content. Ergo it could be inferred he was talking about children.
Otherwise what was the point of the post? Violence is OK [for adults], but titties aren't [for adults], regardless of the fact that nobody is even discussing taking away titties _or_ violence from _adults_?
Seriously, use your fucking head before going off on ridiculous rants about _me_ being the one who is confused.
Huh?? PS3, OnLive, Wii, PC, Mac, you name it. Plus they're games. The day we start ruling game console makers monopolies is the day we are a fail as a society. You don't need fucking games.

Oooh, yeah, that's _totally_ what they're going to use it for! Thank you for this non-retarded post making a meaningful point!
OK, in my old age I find sarcasm more and more of a lame mechanism, but since your post is so silly I don't feel bad.
Apple apologists are such smug douches, and than you for demonstrating that to the world.

All traffic is not equal, some is more sensitive to latency and congestion.
They can just charge per GB and implement bandwidth caps. In fact that's what they should be, makes all this whining a moot issue.
It's not your job. You seriously think your YouPornTube wanking session should never be managed such that it doesn't interfere with your neighbors' VOIP or VPN session to work?

Oh, but maybe they patented _charging for it_. And that's a huge leap!
It's like the difference between a slut and a whore, and we all know that's about $250.
I actually listen to Fox sometimes, either for amusement or to get a different viewpoint. You're clearly about 3 years behind, the new Naughty Word is "Progressives". "Liberals" (i.e. "libruls", "libruhls") is so 20th Century.

They are multitude.
