So the fact that the game uses starforce is printed in the manual.
Which you have to open the sealed box to see.
Which means you can't return the game.
Which means that they dont tell you when you buy the game, rather once you cant return it.
really, unsatisfactory.
We talk about reducing emissions, about protecting our environment and reducing waste. Then we go and think up something like this.
Current System: 1. Take a pictures with your digital camera. 2. Go to a interenet bar/coffee shop with wifi (there are ALOT) 3. Email pictures to loved ones
End product: Digital photos on your camera/computer Wasted: nothing
This thing: 1. Take pictures with one time use "thing" 2. put in mail and send
End Product: nothing. You cant print these, they have to be taken to a developer. Wasted: The entire device. This goes in the garbage afterwards.
The "design" student should take the entire design process into account, specifically, environmental footprint. The amount of resources to make this and its lackluster capabilities and end result make this product a stupid thing for us to invest in.
This is just a "HIGH TECH" version of a throw-away digital cam, except you cant even print up the photos yourself.
"
What does it tell you about the state of NASA when it takes Burt Rutan 4 days to get his ship back into orbit, while it takes NASA two years? Granted, the Shuttles goes into a much higher orbit, and carries a lot more payload, but the difference is still ridiculous.
"
Two different animals. To compare a shuttle to Rutan's ship is like comparing a car to a bicycle. Rutan's ship had some serious acceleration for a relatively short period of time, just like a shuttle. What it didnt have was long term needs for fuel and life support. The shuttle is MUCH more complex.
If the show does well, they sign him for another season. If he gets sick of it or it tanks, he isnt tied to it.
Sounds like smart carreer planning to me.
...and then they are like "SHIT, WHERE DID THAT EARTHQUAKE COMES FROMS?"
maybe when they finish they should detonate some bombs down there, then see what happens.//science is experiment
