Wow! I'm barely though my "wannabe" status as a blogger, and already I'm a Has Been! Talk about the blurry pace of the modern world! LOL!

I didn't hear them saying that. Profit is a great motivator. It simply, and undeniably, overwhelms the creative motivation too often. That fact is why homo sapiens ain't quite ready for anarchy.

The Diamond Age seems closer, day by day.

I like that: The Diamond Age. Gonna Google it since I don't know the reference and am guessing it's a book I'd really enjoy.

Despite your opinion (with which I am basically in agreement), I think you did a nice job of pointing out why its Flamebait. To the original, I disliked the Bugginess of Real Player before it was Real Gold. Then I learned to love it. 'Twas my primary player for several years. I even Purchased it at one time! LOL! Now iTunes free player is my fav for easy of use and small footprint and quality of Streaming Audio. Awesome Radio Station availability too! My point is that the bugs were worked out and Rapsody simply never interested me because of the paucity of rare music available. I know cuz I tried it for a free month. It bored me quite quickly, just as the CD Clubs do. Peer-to-Peer FS is fine for my values. I download oldies (Al Stewart, Zebra, Claire de Loon(sp?)) on a one-shot basis or new stuff to see if I wanna buy the Disk. I'd rather buy the disk 9 x outta 10. NINE times out of TEN. And I limit what I share. That all being said, I've no problem with an opinion included in a post on Slashdot forums. You don't have to like it or agree with it to learn from it.

    Thanks ScentCone (seriously)

Now I'm going back to comment on the original.

I agree with that. That's why I put the separate defs out there. I do wonder what you though it meant though because, as I indicated with the "not a normal word", I wasn't surprise by your question.

Its not a normal word. Can you etymologize? De - remove Morality - An objective view of the necessary responses to reality. Boy Howdy! Seriously, what does it sound like it means?

Remember dude; Intelligence is relative as well. Our species is smarter than the other primates (who all participate in and precipitate some sort of violence against themselves) but, assuming we avoid extinction in the next hundred thousand years or so, we can expect to spin off an even more intelligence species (or multiple species even!) Before we let go of our need to war, we've got to show that we are smart enough to let go of our self-hatred and the despair and demorality of Religion.

Silly golgofrinchans... I forget... Did they do kindergartern? Doesn't anybody wash their freakin' hands anymore??? I swear I must do so 5 to 20 times a day depending upon how many different people's pc's I need to use. Instant hand sanitizer sho be do comin' in handy as well, especially when I'm headed to a PC I KNOW is super funky!
