This whole question is a little confusing. Is there a question of whether ZIP codes are public info? Of course they are... and, do you have to buy it? I'm pretty sure you can get them from the post office almost free.. if not completely.
I use aim to communicate with other people i know who are on AOL, and i regularly get the newest betas, and recently they added an "offline" list. This is new to AIM, and I feel it is a step towards integrating the features of ICQ, if not one day... they may be both integrated togethether.
Seeing that there are multiple projects going on, (jabber, everybuddy, i've seen a few others....) in attempt to merge current instant messaging protocols... err software... but anyway, won't this create the same thing, people having to use multiple instant messaging software to be able to communicate with people? oh well.
Usually, when you send a message to someone through these type of web forms... it will have text before and after your input..... like: "Hi, your friend from blah blah blah would like you to come to blah blah... here is their message:"(message follows) but, this doesn't. Oh well.
No... as other people mentioned, its the correct time. You see, if it said 6:24 EDT, which stands for Eastern Daylight (savings) Time.... then it would be incorrect... but this says 6:24 EST, Eastern Standard Time, which is an hour behind EDT... (the old phase... spring ahead, fall back.) So, next time make sure you check the Timezone. If you really want more information... goto California's Department of Energy's website on Daylight savings...
So, when the RIAA's... or whoever's standard of SDMI is officially executed, will companys be prosecuted if they do not implement this standard into CD players? For not implementing something that would make music more secure? In a way, Napster is creating a society that does not force consumers to adhere to copyright laws, as CD players that would not implement secure music would not force consumers to adhere to copyright infrigment laws....
Well, minus the v, this is an anagram for the dreaded OS2... which probably have done well if it wasn't for the fact that it was up against microsoft, and it wasn't publized enough. Ok, i'm already a little sidetracked.
Anyway, onto my point, or the lack thereof. Is it just me or does anyone else think this isn't going to really go anywhere.... oh well, that being said, knowing my ability to fortell the future, it'll probably revolutionize the computer industry...

I'd say what he did was right. Principles are worth more than money. =P

So, i'm guessing the mention of bomb and president in one message would be even more information for the non-existent NSA and echelon?
