So you say putting work into something that disappears a short while later is not losing? "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."
Try Debian or Ubuntu, then. Most packages can be installed by 'apt-get install [package]', or just use synaptic. I've only had dependancy problems temporarily while using the unstable versions.
Isn't that 'Yoghurt! I hate yoghurt! Even with rasberry!' Possibly a different berry, though...
