What Aztecs are left?
I was at the Sun Bowl festivities in El Paso and witnessed the "Aztec" dancers. Question, would a real Aztec be caught wearing pheasant feathers instead of turkey feathers?
Mexico is a violent third world country with immense economic diparites and is always looking to make a dollar. What better target than some wealthy norte american coorporation that sells coffeee in cups with derivitive designs that resmble those of Aztecs.
Tis truly difficult to be enthusiastic, to be willing to work extra hours, and to frankly give a damn about your work, when you've been told no raises and no bonuses because the economy went south. Especially when the very same management receives their raises and their bonuses on schedule.
Translation: Students no longer know how to write.
I'm just waiting for schools to start requiring students to text or tweet as part of the application process.
and I thought terrorists and pervs used cellphones.
But, the two real reasons that museums don't permit cameras are:
1. Museums use images of exhibits for raising funds to finance the operation of the museum.
2. Flash photography damages the exhibits by exposing exhibits to excessive UV light.
Talk about the equivilant of gutting a Rolex and replacing the works with a dollar store digital watch!
