Thank you for clearing that up. Do you happen to know by what method the epistles were dated and by whom? Just curious.....I always wanted to know how science and researchers come to claim these things as fact.
Thank you for your input and thought-provoking argument.
Just a reminder folks, we are talking about the "Entertainment Industry" here.
Since when does a StoryTeller become too old or obsolete to tell stories??
I mean, isn't that how all of the mythology or 'religion' of our global culture was passed down?
As far as I know, the first books of the New Testament weren't even written for the first coupla Centuries! AFTER Christ died!!
As passed down through the elders and the telling of stories.....
I guess we no longer need the elderly for anything, not even the telling of fables for entertainment....
Sorry Mr Lucas, you're just a has-been now, guess you shoulda killed yourself at 45 cuz now your pushin 50!! and boy, we don't legitamize ANYONE over the age of 40!! to tell a story in this society!!
Sorry, just had to rant there..... As if! Like what? A human being can't contiue to be creative and use their imagination to enthrall and inspire others after they have already done so and been widely successful at it in their lifetime...? Beware all of you out there who dare to use your creativity at a young age.... you only get to be creative once in your life and after that peak!.... its all downhill to obscure-hood buddy, so...Imagine!... and then Market Your Imaginings;.. Wisely.
I don't really agree with grouping a creative artist such as a filmaker in with the generic artists or athletes of our time.
Most 'artists' are only profitable while the current 'trends' are on their side, regardless of their age....
Athletes are restricted by the frailty of the human body after countless repetitive hours of activity that the human body wasn't designed to perform.....
Comparing an imaginative and creative Writer/Director/Producer/Storyteller like George Lucas to an athlete or artist, who, by the way, are focused and specialized in one (maybe two) extraordinary skills.. is like comparing a 3 Course 5 Star Cousine with a platter of gourmet wienie wraps...
Sure, both examples are savoury respectable offerings, with their fair place in polite society.
Each earning and deserving of their cultural prestige and status thus justifying their inflated costs....
but while you may enjoy the novelty and convenience of the latter, the former still presides over the realms of taste and class excellence....
Not only by the layering of rich diversity and creativity that it offers, but more-so by the freedom, the skill and the imagination of the creators' themselves that is put right in to the original recipe. Combine these forces together and you have all of the ingredients to make it a truley rare & exclusive... a unique & ultimately a One(Only)-Of-A-Kind Experience.
What a treat! It's just too bad we don't get these more often...
So lets do us all a favor and not compare the creative genius of the chef, young or old, apprentice or journeymen..... to those 'last-a-thousand-years-with preservatives (aka 'Steroids'-Or-a-Shrewd-Publicist) Frozen & Microwavable' Wienie Wraps...mmKay?:)
