Heh. You've obviously never been stuck in rush hour traffic behind some moron talking on his/her cellphone, gesticulating furiously as he/she makes a point, nodding and shaking his/her head, and generally looking like the idjit they are ;)

    Sure!
Electrical charge gathers on the outside of a conductor. I can't remember the exact details (physics 1 is a very blurry memory!) but this means that you cannot induce a current on a conductor inside a hollow conductor (essentially what a faraday cage is) by means of a moving charge outside the conductor.
A moving charge inside a hollow conductor can cause a moving charge on the surface of the conductor, however, which again can induce currents on conductors outside the hollow conductor.
    Easy peasy (i think ;) )

for electronic emissions? I thought the idea was to create a faraday cage to restrict this

Faraday cages only protect what's inside them from outside radiation. They don't stop radiation from inside them going out... :)

There's only one problem with paying cash for everything... When the time comes to buy something on credit (car, house etc) you have no GOOD credit history either, and you can't get credit at all. I had to force my bank manager to look at my account before I could get a car loan. It's easier to get credit if you're in debt already!

That was the last straw. That's a serious problem since 2 of the email addresses on my team aren't valid anymore so we can't rejoin that email address to the team.
Tried mailing their help-service to ask for the passwords for those addresses? I had a problem with two old inaccessible emails and they helped me out very quickly. I think they're doing a great job, considering the number of people out there who try and screw with the stats and break things.
Keep up the good work... Moo!

Hear hear! I was kinda hoping that maybe they'd put in people who had some decent taste in music (heavy metal of course ;) but that just wouldn't get the ratings, would it? *sigh*
Actually, I wonder what music they're taking in there with them to listen to? Do they have ANY skill whatsoever at PRODUCING music? Will music be dead after Y2K? Or is the world doomed to always listen to rehashed dance mixes of dance mixes of dance mixes of what were once good songs?
